The iconic actor, Aamir Khan is one of the most successful and celebrated actors in the film industry. Over the years, he has been part of one of the highest-grossing films ever. From breaking box-office collection records to making a mark in viewers' hearts with his characters, Aamir is undoubtedly one of the best actors in the history of Hindi cinema. The man termed with the title ‘Perfectionist’ is already bestowed with prestigious awards like Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, which speaks volumes about his stature as an actor.

Aamir Khan revealed how Shah Rukh Khan saved his film, Laal Singh Chaddha, from getting clashed with KGF

The buzz around Aamir Khan’s film, Laal Singh Chaddha was huge, as it was the adaption of the iconic Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. However, it was the trend, 'Boycott Bollywood' that hampered Laal Singh Chadha’s business at the box office. Despite giving four years of his life, Aamir suffered huge losses when his film crashed at the box. The movie was made on a budget of Rs. 180 crore and only managed to hit the Rs. 60 crore mark at the box office. However, things could have been much worse for the actor.

During the Telugu trailer launch of the film, Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan was asked about his opinions on the debate, Bollywood vs South Indian film industry. In response to the same, Aamir praised South Indian films like K.G.F., Pushpa: The Rise, Baahubali and RRR. The actor admitted that it’s beautiful to see incredible content coming from different corners of the country. While shedding more light on the gigantic success of South Indian films in recent years, Aamir revealed how Shah Rukh Khan saved his film, Laal Singh Chaddha, from clashing with K.G.F: Chapter 2. Opening up about the same and heaping praises on Shah Rukh’s Red Chillies Productions, he had said:

"I remember when KGF 2 was about to be released, there was a lot of excitement among the Hindi audience, amongst my old friends. I must say that Laal Singh Chaddha was supposed to be released on that day. But fortunately for us, Red Chillies was taking a little time on the VFX, so we got saved. Otherwise, we would have come up with KGF 2."

Despite being the son of iconic film producer, Mohammad Tahir Hussain, it wasn’t a cakewalk for Aamir Khan to make a name for himself in the film industry. The actor had pasted his film’s posters behind auto rickshaws and used to request people to come to theatres and watch his debut film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.
