In my opinion, shopping is one of the best joys that life has to offer. I am a firm believer in retail therapy.
That is why I love to be invited weddings – any wedding! Not only does it give you an excuse to go shopping, you can also have a grand time during the actual event by discussing what everyone else is wearing.

A lot of brides to be find the whole process of shopping for their trousseaus to be very stressful and tiring, but that need not be the case at all.
Events like the Aamby Valley India Bridal Week are a godsend for just such a reason. First and foremost, it provides a bit of much needed glitter and glamour in this dark and dreary world. Second, it provides an opportunity for brides to be to survey a number of the designs and styles of a large number of designers, so that they can decide what they want for their own wedding. Besides, one such designer lehenga can easily into lakhs of rupees, thus putting them out of the reach of most brides to be. But never fear! If you have a taste for champagne on a beer pocketbook, then all you have to do is check out these pictures, pick out your favorite one and take it to any good tailor in your neighborhood. If you live in Delhi, for instance, then you will find dozens of these tailors in Chandi Chowk who will get you the designer lehenga of your dreams – minus the designer price tag, of course.
Without further ado, let us get down to the nitty gritties of the Aamby Valley India Bridal Week 2011.
On Day 1, Mallika Sherawat sashayed down the ramp for Anjalee and Arjun Kapoor, looking her usual hot self, while Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ameesha Patel walked for Vikram Phadnis and Rocky S respectively.
On Day 2, Visitors at the Aamby Valley India Bridal Week were treated to the sight of Malaika Arora Khan, Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan and the reigning Pantaloons Femina Miss Indias Kanishtha Dhankhar, Hasleen Kaur and Ankita Shorey walking for Bhairavi Jaikishan, Adarsh Gill and Queenie Singh, respectively. Mother daughter duo Hema Malini & Esha Deol walked down the ramp for Neeta Lulla, while Shane and Falguni Peacock were lucky enough to get Sameera Reddy and Jackky Bhagnani to showcase their designs. So much glamour in one day….Some people have all the luck *sigh*!

On day 3, Kangna Ranaut scorched the runway in an extravagant bridal lehenga – sounds like a treat for sore eyes!
Guests included Sussanne Roshan, Zarine Khan, Rhea Pillai, Pooja Bedi, Punam Sinha, Nisha Jhaveri, Tanaaz Doshi, Madhoo Shah, Laila Furniturewala, Nishka Lulla, Tanushree Dutta, Sophie Choudry, Shahab Durazi, Aashish Choudhary, Manasi Scott, Prerna Goel, Kunika Singh & Krishika Lulla.
