'Aadu 3' Review, Jayasurya Steals The Limelight In The Malayalam Film, Fans Say, 'Solid Entertainer'

The third and the final part of the much-loved Aadu franchise, directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas has been released. Aadu 3: One Last Ride- Part 1, starring Vedhika, Jayasurya, Vineeth Mohan and more hit the theatres on March 19, 2026. Now that the comedy fantasy movie is grabbing nationwide attention, read on to know if the Malayalam film is worth watching.

The plotline of Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1

Aadu 3 revolves around 'Shaji Pappan' (Jayasurya) and his circle getting into trouble again. Apart from the small confusions, fights and humour, the movie also features two timelines- past and present. In the present, the film includes 'Shaji' and his gang, whereas in the past, it features similar-looking people in a different setting.

In both the timelines, people are chasing something valuable; however, as the movie moves forward, the chase turns into a chaotic ride. It is also worth mentioning that since this is a two-part film, all the issues are not resolved in this. This part is majorly about setting up characters and timelines. The main focus is the valuable item that everyone is chasing.

What works in Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1?

One of the biggest plus points of Aadu 3 is its loyal audience. Since the makers brought back the fan-favourite character, 'Shaji', the audience is able to enjoy the narrative. The filmmakers did not have to reintroduce the characters. Another highlight is the concept of timeline and reincarnation. It is worth mentioning that multiple films with reincarnation as a concept have turned out to be a blockbuster. Apart from this, the humour, big scale and the amazing performances by the actors acts like the cherry on the top.

Audience reviews of Aadu 3: One Last Ride - Part 1

Hours after the movie hit the theatres, multiple fans took to their X handles (formerly Twitter) to share their reviews on it. While some were impressed with the narrative and humour, others felt that Aadu 3 was the ‘weakest’ film in the entire franchise. One user commented, "Dude Sir Saved The Party. Weakest In This Franchise But Enjoyed it." Another user wrote, "The first half felt like an Asianet Comedy Stars-style comedy. After Dude’s entry, the movie picked up slightly with a more positive tone, he’s the real savior. The last 15–20 minutes towards the climax were good. Apart from that, the movie is strictly average."

A third user penned, "A solid entertainer from the franchise. Since it’s a two-part film, it takes its time with world-building and time-travel elements, which makes some portions feel slightly dragged. However, the movie successfully sets the stage for Aadu3 Part-2." Another fan commented, "#Aadu3 Part1: Technically brilliant, it's not completely fun ride. Genre shifting complexive, but it's well syncing & hook up in second. Hyped for Part:2"
