Aadar Jain Trolled For Calling His Past Relationships 'Time Pass,' Netizens Say, 'That's So Mean'

Aadar Jain, son of legendary actor, Raj Kapoor's daughter, Rima Jain, is set to tie the knot with his fiancee, Alekha Advani. The occasion has brought an important reason for celebrations in the Kapoor family, and fans are hooked on every new update from the grand wedding. On February 20, 2025, a mehendi night was held for the couple, and several inside videos have gone viral. However, one video where Aadar gave a special speech for Alekha has brought backlash for him. Here's why.

Aadar Jain and Alekha Advani's mehendi function was held in Mumbai, where the groom gave a heartfelt speech for his soon-to-be bride. In a video shared by Telly Talky, Aadar mentioned to his friends and relatives that he had loved Alekha since he was just 10 years old. Giving a funny edge to his speech, he stated that he was just doing 'time pass' in the past twenty years. In his words: 

"I have always loved her since I was 10, and I have always wanted to be with her. But I never got a chance to be with her, so she sent me on this long journey of 20 years to do time pass."

He continued that despite the time that has passed, everything has been worth it since he finally had the opportunity to be with the love of his life. For those unaware, Aadar was previously dating actress, Tara Sutaria, and the couple was reportedly in a serious relationship before they broke up. Later, he began dating Alekha. Aadar said: 

"At the end of the day, it was worth it because I get to marry this (points to Alekha) beautiful, beautiful woman who looks like a dream. And I love you, and it was worth the wait. So that is the secret: I have always loved her. I was just doing time pass for the past 20 years of my life. But now I am here with you, baby."

Netizens feel that Aadar Jain's 'time pass' remark was 'disrespectful' 

Aadar Jain and Tara Sutaria were once considered among the most-loved couples in Bollywood. Consequently, netizens felt Aadar's confession in his speech was 'disrespectful' to Tara and his other relationships. Soon, he got trolled online as one netizen wrote, "That's so mean." Another viewer penned, "This is love or cheating the ex? Really? Is that how someone says or behaves? Imagine how Tara might have felt again when she heard this! What kind of human does that?"

Aadar Jain and Tara Sutaria's dating rumours made headlines in 2019 when they were spotted together at parties, Aadar's brother, Armaan's wedding, the Kapoor family's Christmas parties, etc. They also made their relationship insta-official in 2020. But, since 2023, they were not been seen together. Later, a media report confirmed the split. However, in September 2024, fans were left surprised when Aadar shared proposal pictures with Alekha who was Tara's close friend. She also used to hang out with the ex-couple. As a result, the posts received backlash from netizens, and Aadar's new remark further reverberated the netizens' fury.
