That this hunk from Haryana is thriving in his Bollywood career is completely recognisable. But what’s always made him a paparazzi darling is his super-fit and awe-inspiring physique. The actor’s macho look also got him selected as one of “The 50 Most Desirable Men of 2009” by the Times of India. And most of all, it’s his mind-boggling body transformation to look like a traumatised prisoner in the movie ‘Sarbjit’, that has got people talking.

The fact that he has lost 18kgs in merely 28 days to fit into the role has given his fans all the more reasons to be curious about his insanely sculpted body. Let’s take a sneak peek into his world of fitness and health.

An avid fitness enthusiast since childhood

Randeep’s passion and zeal for workouts go back to his childhood days. Yes, he started at the age of nine. No wonder he possesses such an amazing flab-free body. Today, fitness is his lifestyle and not just his requirement. So, we can understand the kind of command he has over his body that helps him do justice to his roles. Weight training

Though he starts with sweating it out on the treadmill, he is not too fond of cardio. Once done, he quickly switches over to his weight training exercises. He likes training his back and chest. The awesome actor wishes to be alone while working out to concentrate on his exercise regimen. The dedicated man might not respond to a ‘hi’ to focus on his workout. He gives weightage to the functional, high-impact exercises but the duration is short. He performs an all-out exhaustive workout that lasts only about 25-30 minutes, the reason why he doesn’t waste time socialising and mixing.

Natural detox process

The actor prefers his fitness goals to be based on the natural process (as far as possible). He finds the benefits of the outdoor sessions a way forward thing than going to the gym. He believes that air-conditioned gyms make your body devoid of the natural detox process. The actor owns five horses of his own. Polo and show jumping are other sports he is fanatical about. These sports not only keep him fit but are a great stress-buster too.

The actor makes sure to have a properly stocked gym bag before his serious workouts. The gym bag essentials increase his productivity and enhance his experience. The accessories in his bag include water, fresh pair of socks, clean towel, deodorant and clothes.

No-compromise diet

Though the actor adheres to a diet and carefully selects his meals; he doesn’t completely deny himself of the food he loves. He believes in a heavy protein diet for his nutritional support.  He has, in an interview, confessed that he can eat twelve to fifteen eggs in day. This astounds us but the stud has really great metabolism and absorption power. To round out his entire healthy lifestyle, he includes dairy products like milk, yogurt and cheese in his diet.
