More often than not, this is what happens in reality for most of the couples. Carrying unnecessary things on a honeymoon can make your romantic vacation a struggle. Instead of enjoying your time together, you might be constantly moving around the mammoth baggages from one place to another.

To avoid this uncomfortable situation, here is a list of things that you should not be packing for your honeymoon.

You would definitely want to go all out, and look your best on your honeymoon. But that doesn’t mean you carry your entire wardrobe along with you. The trick is to just carry the essentials. Carry comfortable clothes that go well with your destination and activities planned.

Remember, at the end of the day, it is not important what you are wearing, but who you are with, where you are and what you are doing that matters when you are on your honeymoon. A simple but effective trick is to carry a few accessories, which can dramatically change the look of the outfits that you are carrying, and give them a fashionable twist. When you travel light, you would spend more time getting cosy, and less on selecting and ironing the clothes!

#2. Interfering gadgets

Remember, your honeymoon is not your workplace, nor is it the right time to work. Honeymoon is one of those rare opportunities where you are justified in forgetting the world, and focusing on starting your marital life.

So, bid adieu to your closest work companion, your laptop, for a change. There will definitely be free time on your honeymoon. But that should be used to refresh yourself for your next activity or event, and not to get busy in checking mails.

#3. Prized possessions and valuables

The last thing you would want to do on your honeymoon is to spend your time stressing over all the valuables that you are carrying in your bags. It is always said that 'precaution is better than cure'. So, refrain from carrying any fancy gadgets, expensive watches and jewellery, to avoid any hitch on your vacation.

Why would you want to tarnish the perfect opportunity to build some close and romantic moments with your better half, for all those expensive things that are not required while on a honeymoon? You can easily survive for a few days without these fancy objects, and this will also make your honeymoon more relaxing and smooth.

#4. Full-sized products and too much makeup

Until and unless, you are planning to move away from civilization for a really long time, you do not need to pack full-sized toiletries that are lying in your bathroom. You will easily find everything from toothpaste to shampoo wherever you go, so don't stress on overpacking your bags with such products. It is best to go for travel-sized toothpastes, shampoos, conditioners, etc.

A special tip for the newlywed brides, honeymoon is not another formal event. So, avoid carrying too much of makeup. Instead carry just the bare minimums. Remember, less is always more on a honeymoon.

#5. Too many shoes

This is for those newlywed brides, and a few guys, who are obsessed with footwear. Just because you want to dress up, and feel good, you don't have to stuff your bag with 10-12 pairs of shoes, to match each and every outfit that you have packed. Carry a maximum of 4 to 5 pairs of shoes in neutral colours, which can easily be mixed and matched with different outfits that you have packed.
