Went To US For Arranged Marriage, Indian Girl, 24, Disappears, Was Last Seen Waiting For Someone

The frequent disappearance of Indians abroad has become an increasingly common occurrence. From the Caribbean to Canada and the UK, the clueless disappearance of Indians has become a major concern, especially among young women travelling alone. While there are several unsolved cases, a new incident has recently come to light where a 24-year-old Indian woman who recently travelled from India to the U.S. to get married has suddenly disappeared. While the authorities have begun the investigation into the case, the emerging details have simply added more to the mystery. 

24-year-old Simran was waiting for someone before her disappearance 

In a shocking news case, a 24-year-old Indian girl arrived in the U.S. recently on June 20, 2025. According to authorities of Lindenwold in New Jersey, she was last seen looking around, waiting for someone and checking her phone in a surveillance camera. But there is no clue about who she was waiting for. At the same time, she did not appear distressed or in any kind of danger at that point in time. Simran's acquaintances in the U.S. revealed that she had arrived for a supposed arranged marriage in the country. 

But now a full-fledged investigation has begun in the case. It was found that the 24-year-old had no relatives in the U.S., and she wasn't familiar with the English language, which makes it difficult to find more details about her. According to The New York Post, it is suspected that Simran didn't arrive in the foreign country for marriage but rather wanted to travel for free. Several different theories have cropped up in the case, but there is still a fear for her safety. 

Simran, 5 feet and 4 inches was last seen wearing grey sweatpants, a white T-shirt, black flip-flops and dainty diamond earrings. At the same time, she had a small scar on her forehead. The investigating authorities made multiple attempts to reach her relatives in India to no avail. After the Lindenwold authorities were informed about her disappearance, they immediately began connecting clues to rule out the chances of her intentionally going somewhere.

After the news about Simran's disappearance went viral, netizens have given mixed responses to her disappearance. Some wished for her safety, while others doubted if she went somewhere voluntarily. One user wrote, "How sure are you that this is a missing case and not a case of elopement?" Another netizen expressed concern and wrote, "I hope she is fine and will be back to the groom."
