Bollywood actor, Farhan Akhtar recently returned to the big screen with the war drama film, 120 Bahadur, directed by Razneesh Ghai. For the unversed, the film is based on the true incidents of the 1962 Battle of Rezang La, where 120 Indian soldiers fought against thousands of Chinese army forces. Was Farhan Akhtar the highest paid actor for 120 Bahadur?

To answer in short, yes, Farhan Akhtar was the highest paid actor of the film, 120 Bahadur. While the fees is not confirmed by the actor or the makers of the film, a report by Times Now shared that the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor took home something between Rs. 15 crore to Rs. 18 crore. For the unversed, Farhan Akhtar, in the film, plays the role of 'Major Shaitan Singh Bhati', who led the Indian soldiers in the war.

Raashii Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan took home a hefty amount despite small role

Apart from Farhan Akhtar, the film, 120 Bahadur also starred Raashii Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan. For the unversed, the Farzi actress played the role of Farhan’s wife in the film and Amitabh Bachchan didn’t appear in it, but was the narrator of 120 Bahadur. Well, for her warm and strong screen presence, Raashii reportedly charged around Rs. 6-8 crore, whereas the Deewar actor charged Rs. 4-6 crore. 

Salaries of the supporting cast of 120 Bahadur

For those who didn’t notice, the film, 120 Bahadur also starred Ankit Siwach, Eijaz Khan, Vivan Bhathena and Ajinkya Deo in important roles. According to the same report by Times Now, Ankit Siwach played the role of a soldier and took home around Rs. 50 lakhs. His performance was highly appreciated by critics and reviewers. On the other hand, Eijaz Khan, Vivan Bhathena and Ajinkya Deo reportedly charged Rs. 40-60 lakhs for their roles in the war drama.
