Zeenat Aman Reveals Facing Frightening Health Scare, 'I Could Still Breath, But Was Restricted'

Zeenat Aman is a legendary actress known for her beauty, grace, style, and acting skills. She redefined the portrayal of women in Bollywood during the 1970s and 1980s by playing some memorable roles. The actress remains active on Instagram and often shares interesting details about her career and life, which has made the present generation admire her, too. But, Zeenat Aman recently made her fans concerned after she shared details about her near-death experience on the platform. 

Zeenat Aman reveals her blood pressure pills got suck in her throat

Zeenat Aman recently took to her Instagram handle and shared a post recounting her recent health scare. The actress explained that on January 20, 2025, she came home after completing a long and tiring day of shoot. Before she went to sleep, she went ahead to take her blood pressure pills like usual. However, this time, the simple activity turned serious because after taking them and drinking some water, she realised that her pills were stuck in her throat, and that affected her breathing. Recalling the horrifying moments, she penned:

"There it was, this little pill lodged in my throat. Too far down to regurgitate and too far up to swallow. I could still breathe, but it was restricted."

Despite drinking a complete glass of water, she couldn't push those pills down to her throat. Moreover, there was nobody at home with her except her pets. She tried to call her doctor in a hassle but his number was busy, and Zeenat Aman had to call her son, Zahaan Khan, immediately for help. He left his work and took her to the doctor, who stated that the pills would dissolve by themselves.

Zeenat Aman shares the lesson she learned from the discomforting experience 

At the same time, Zeenat Aman explained that the next morning, she woke up thinking about the incident and the discomfort she experienced throughout the situation. It taught her that she needs to have a little patience, although it's important to bravely face every challenge that life throws at you. But, sometimes, it's important to have a little patience as well. 

Zeenat Aman's career so far 

Zeenat Aman made her debut in 1971 with the film, Hulchul. But, she got her big breakthrough in Bollywood with the film, Hare Rama Hare Krishna in the same year, co-starring Dev Anand, which made her a household name. Later, she went on to work in popular films like Don, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, and Yaadon Ki Baaraat. The actress will be in Bun Tikki, co-starring Abhay Deol and Shabana Azmi.
