Zarine Khan's Prayer Meet, Sussanne Khan Dresses In A Saree With Red Flower For Mom's Final Rites

Zarine Khan, the wife of veteran actor, Sanjay Khan, passed away in Mumbai at the age of 81. Zarine was a Parsi, but instead of her birth religion or the one she got married into, her last wish was to have a funeral as per Hindu customs. And her son, Zaid Khan, fulfilled her wish. Now, friends and family get together for Zarine Khan's final prayer meet.

As per Hindu customs, when a person passes away, a 13-day, nowadays, four-day mourning period is observed. On the fourth day, a prayer meet or kriya is held. After Zarine Khan passed away due to a heart attack on November 7, 2025, the family held her final prayer meet on November 10, 2025. 

Zarine Khan's daughter, Sussanne Khan, arrived for her mother's final prayer meet. She was dressed in a white saree with a red border embellished with flowers. She kept her look subtle with her hair left open. An emotional Sussanne greeted the media present with folded hands. Sussanne Khan and Hrithik Roshan's son, Hridhaan, was also present there. He wore a white kurta with a matching white Nehru jacket. Zarine Khan's son, Zayed Khan, also arrived with his father, Sanjay Khan, for the prayer meet.

Sussanne Khan penned a heartfelt final note on social media for her mother, Zarine Khan, after her funeral. In her Instagram post, Sussanne revealed that she is her mother's twin soul, and she was an amazing woman and her best friend, and called her 'guiding light' of her life. She wrote:

"My Bestestttttt Friend, My God, My Life... Our Beautiful Mummy.. you are always going to be our Guiding Light... You taught us all to live it our own way... with the epitome of Grace and Love... May we all be even half as much light as amazing as you were.. n our lives will be happy.... We love you beyond Love, beyond Life.. and from now Untill we all meet again n laugh and dance together.. you teach the Angels in heaven how to love... they are so lucky to have you...P. S You took all our hearts with you..."

Sussanne's last Instagram post for her mother was all about the love that a daughter feels. The interior designer shared a compilation of pictures and videos over the years, including her mother's wedding photos to pictures of Sussanne with her other siblings when they were young. The post was dated back on July 12, 2025, and it was Zarine's 81st birthday.

Sharing the video, Sussanne penned a heartfelt note wishing a birthday to her beautiful mother. She added that all she does and creates in her life is credited to her mother, and she helped her shape her heart and mind. She called herself her mother's little girl, and wrote:

"Mama Mia, My My.. what an amazing Mama you are…Happiest happy birthday my gorgeous beautiful mommy.. all that I do and All that I create in my Life has to do with the way you formed my heart, my mind n my grit.. I am so honoured and grateful to be your little girl.. May the Universe always protect you and keep continuing to spread that Love and the smiles you do.. Have the most spectacular year!!"
