One of the most controversial relationship scandals has revolved around Chinese actor Xu Kai, and he has hogged the limelight in the Chinese entertainment industry. She had reportedly even posted on her social media feed anonymously, but her identity was then exposed. Xu Kai never addressed the same person but relied on the PR.

Filming was underway in Qingdao, where Xu Kai reportedly pursued another actress, all while trying to patch up with Xu Lisha. She claimed that their relationship became fragile due to this, and in October 2023, Xu Kai met Xu Lisha, stating he had not met anyone else. Xu Kai had also slammed her, and Xu Lisha had no choice but to be silent about the matter. This was because she was protecting his career. Xu Lisha did claim that their relationship became fragile because of the same. She claimed not to have received any apology or support from him. Xu Lisha alleged that the only support she got from him was during times of special circumstances.

Da Jin alleged that she was physically abused by him, which reignited old rumours related to his behaviour filled with violence. The situation became weird when a pap released a video of Xu Kai and Zhao Qing entering the hotel together.
