Ozzy Osbourne's demise on July 22, 2025 has left a permanent void in the world of music. Though the cause of demise of the music legend was not confirmed by his family, Ozzy had earlier confirmed that he was battling Parkinson’s disease. The ‘Prince of Darkness' was honoured with a grand funeral procession in his hometown, Birmingham, on July 30, 2025. His fans lined up on the sides of the street to pay tribute to Ozzy and his family including his widow, Sharon and four of his children. However, as tributes continue to pour in, another debate on who will inherit Ozzy's fortune has begun online. Here's what the late music legend planned for this situation.
Ozzy Osbourne had a net worth of a staggering USD 220 million. After his demise the question has arised on who will inherit it. But there is going to be no family drama at Ozzy's home because the rock icon reportedly left behind a detailed plan to ‘equally divide’ his wealth among Sharon and his kids. According to reports from Radar Online and The Express, the 76-year-old had left a will that allegedly includes a share to all of his six children, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack from his marriage to Sharon Osbourne, and Jessica, Louis, and stepson, Elliot from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.
Sharon Osbourne, who was married to Ozzy Osbourne for more than 42 years will get lifetime estate rights. As per the will, once she passes, the estate will be divided among their three children equally. Their eldest child, Aimee, who prefers to live a private life, will get her share through a trust that pays out quarterly until she turns 50 and then she would get the full amount. Their other daughter, Kelly will get a part of his estate with the family’s Hancock Park home in Los Angeles. At the same time, their son, Jack is set to receive the Osbourne family’s California compound and a share in his dad, Ozzy’s music publishing rights.
Ozzy Osbourne's three elder children, Jessica, Louis and Elliot from his first marriage with Thelma Riley prefer to stay away from the limelight. But they will also get a share in their father's fortune. The decision is in line with Ozzy's wish to treat his children equally. At the same time, Kelly and Jack are named as the co-executors of the estate alongside their mother, Sharon. Despite the chaotic public image of Ozzy, he ensured fair division of his wealth and included all his six children irrespective of their public presence or fame.
Ozzy Osbourne was born in a working-class family and his wealth did not come overnight. He got the first taste of stardom in the 1970s as the frontman of Black Sabbath, a band which made the heavy metal form of music famous. They were known for their hits like Iron Man, War Pigs and Paranoid among others. When Ozzy left the band in 1979, he began his independent career with albums like Blizzard of Ozz and Diary of a Madman. In addition, Ozzy founded the Ozzfest music and became a household face with the MTV reality series, The Osbournes in the 2000s.
