Trent Sweeney was born to Lisa Sweeney and Steven Sweeney. Sydney and Trent were raised in a small, lakeside town outside of Spokane, near the Washington-Idaho border by their parents. Lisa worked as a criminal defence attorney, while Steven worked in hospitality. Trent reportedly studied at Gonzaga University, Spokane. Just like Sydney, he also tried his luck in acting before making his way into the military training. In April 2020, Trent left for his military training and completed it in August 2020. He is also a Twitch streamer. According to his Instagram bio, he goes by the username PeanutButterPaul. Recently, Trent has been officially promoted to staff sergeant in the US Air Force.

For the unversed, Sydney appeared as the face of American Eagle’s new campaign titled, 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans', whose interplay between 'genes' and 'jeans' didn’t sit well with many. People claimed that the commercial boasted Eugenic beliefs and racism. However, the actress didn’t respond to the criticism publicly.

Recently, after being promoted to the staff sergeant rank, Trent shared his promotion certificate on his Instagram Stories.
