Now that the woman has been identified, her background has added another layer to the story.

According to TMZ, the woman who was seen getting intimate with Desmond Scott at Houston bar Sante goes by the name Marissa Springer. She is a 24-year-old local model who is also pursuing a master's degree in business, according to some inside sources from that night. Marissa and Desmond met for the first time that very night through a mutual friend.

Further, they claimed that Marissa had no clue about Desmond's identity, fan following, or his ongoing divorce drama. Instead, she reportedly thought he was single. But soon their casual conversation in the night turned to a night of heavy flirting, drinks, and eventually a full-blown make-out session in public, which was captured on camera and went viral. According to TMZ, they had instant chemistry, and things moved quickly between them. However, it is unclear whether their interaction turned into anything more.

For those unaware, Desmond Scott was seen in the viral video with Marissa on his lap as the duo kissed and embraced. They seemed unconcerned about being filmed. The public display of affection, just one day after Desmond's divorce news became public, shocked the internet as his estranged wife, Kristy, cited infidelity. Moreover, she had filed for the divorce only a couple of weeks ago, on December 30, 2025, stating that there was no chance of reconciliation. The timing led many to question whether Marissa was connected to the alleged cheating mentioned in the divorce filing. However, TMZ's sources claim that they had just met that night.

Before the video clip went viral, Desmond had already addressed the divorce publicly. He shared a post on his Instagram stories on January 10, 2026, and apologised to Kristy, their family, and all those who were affected by the public scrutiny of their lives. He admitted that Kristy will always be important in his life as the mother of his sons. Sharing how 2025 was a challenging year for his marriage, Desmond penned: 

"During this period, I made choices that I am not proud of. I took responsibility for those actions, shared them with her directly and personally, and ultimately we decided to divorce."

Kristy Scott and Demond Scott's love story once felt like a modern fairytale. The couple met at school and continued dating, supporting each other. Soon, they tied the knot in August 2014 when they were just teenagers. Since then, they have built a massive social media empire for their family brand, The Scotts, where they share prank videos, family content, and lifestyle posts. They also share two sons, Vance, 7, and Westin, 6.

According to divorce documents obtained by US Weekly, Kristy stated that they plan to enter into a written agreement regarding custody, visitation, and child support. In case they fail to do so, they asked the court to decide and also mentioned having an outline for marital division of property in advance.
