Lindsay Schweitzer is a pediatric nurse, and she met Eric Stonestreet at a charity 

Both Eric Stonestreet and Lindsay Schweitzer are from Kansas City, Missouri. Additionally, Lindsay works as a pediatric nurse, and her profession led her to meet the actor. A charity event known as the Big Slick is organised in the city to raise money for the cancer centre at the Children's Mercy Hospital. Many actors and actresses from Kansas participate in different activities to raise funds for the noble cause. According to a People report, Eric met his future wife, pediatric nurse Lindsay, during the Big Slick weekend in 2016. And in 2017, the same portal reported that the two were dating each other.

Eric Stonestreet has often referred to himself as a farmer and has recalled growing up in Kansas City in a family of pig farmers. Taking to his Instagram account on the occasion of his birthday on September 9, 2025, Eric Stonestreet announced that he got married to his long-time girlfriend, Lindsay Schweitzer. The actor shared photos from the wedding, which showed Lindsay looking gorgeous in an ivory wedding gown with a waist chain and a diamond pendant adorning her neck. Eric, on the other hand, looked dapper in a black suit. In the caption, the post he wrote:

"It’s my birthday and guess what I got. I got married!"
