Where Is Aimee Osbourne Now? Inside The Private Life Of Ozzy's Eldest Daughter Who Refused TV Fame

The world knew the Osbournes as MTV’s most chaotic and beloved family, featuring rock legend Ozzy Osbourne in his home with his wife, Sharon, their kids, and their adorable pets. The Osbournes was a beloved reality show that aired on MTV in 2002, making Ozzy’s children, especially Kelly and Jack Osbourne, household names. However, fans couldn’t help but notice the one key member always missing from the screen: Ozzy and Sharon’s eldest daughter, Aimee Osbourne. Unlike the rest of her family, Aimee famously opted out of the family’s reality TV circle, choosing a private life.

Now, following the demise of the Dark Prince, Ozzy Osbourne, Aimee made a rare public appearance as she joined her family in the late singer’s funeral procession on July 30, 2025, in Birmingham. Her appearance has once again ignited fans’ curiosity about where she is today and what her life looks like away from the cameras.

Aimee Rachel Osbourne, born on September 2, 1983, is the first child of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. Unlike her younger siblings, Kelly and Jack, who became recurring names thanks to the popular TV series, The Osbournes (2002-2005) and later, The Osbournes Podcast, Aimee opted out of fame.

Aimee Osbourne was only 16 when she moved out of her family home so that she could avoid being a part of the TV show. Speaking about her decision to move out, she later revealed in a 2020 radio interview that she wanted to build an identity for herself rather than being known as a reality show teenager. She said:

“I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and… I always really valued my privacy within that family. And for me personally, and for who I am… to just be remembered for being a teenager, it didn't really line up with what I saw my future as.”

Aimee’s decision to move out of the close-knit family home was more of a step towards self-discovery than what many speculated to be a family rift. Now 41, Aimee stood by her choice to step away from the limelight and never looked back. During a 2018 interaction on The Talk, Sharon shared how she was left heartbroken at Aimee’s moving out and said:

“Aimee left home at 16, and she couldn’t live in our house because we were filming and it drove her insane… she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea… And so she left at 16, and I regret every day that she did. She was happy, but it broke my heart when she moved.”

Even though she no longer lives with the family, Aimee has always been in touch with her parents. However, she shares a particularly strained relationship with her younger sister, Kelly Osbourne. In an episode of Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Kelly bluntly said that they don’t talk and share very different ideologies. She admitted:

“We’re just really different. She doesn’t understand me. I don’t understand her.”

However, when Ozzy died at 76 on July 22, 2025, the estranged family reunited to be by each other’s side. Aimee made a rare public appearance at her father’s funeral procession in Birmingham on July 30, 2025. Dressed in a black veil and beret, she walked beside her mother and siblings, offering a quiet but powerful presence in her father’s final farewell.

While Aimee surely distanced herself from her family’s reality TV fame, she still followed her father’s musical roots. She performs under the alias ARO (her initials: Aimee Rachel Osbourne). Unlike Ozzy’s heavy metal, Aimee has embraced a darker and ethereal route with synth pop.

Aimee Osbourne released her debut single, Raining Gold, in the mid-2010s and received over two million views online. Her other popular singles include House of Lies, Cocaine Style, and Shared Something With the Night. Artists like Kate Bush and Portishead largely inspire ARO’s music. Even though she has never pursued commercial fame, Aimee’s introspective music has earned her a devoted following. She also co-runs Osbourne Media with her brother, Jack Osbourne.
