Ranvir Shorey has been turning heads ever since he participated in the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss OTT 3. While he did not bag the trophy, he surely grabbed the attention because of his bold statements, certain revelations related to his life, and ugly fights with his co-contestants. On the premiere night, Ranvir mentioned that he took part in BB OTT 3 because he had no work at that moment.
After the show ended, we stumbled upon an old interview of the popular Bollywood actor, in which he talked about his good friend, Sushant Singh Rajput. During a conversation on ANI Podcast with Smita Prakash, Ranvir highlighted how Mahesh Bhatt was manipulating him, even labelling his actions as "duplicitous." Furthermore, he shared that he had great regard for the filmmaker until the fiasco with the latter's daughter took place. He was quoted as saying:
"'I had great regard for Mr Bhatt till the fiasco happened when I was seeing his daughter (Pooja Bhatt). Then I saw that actually whatever respect I had for him was being used to manipulate me… very duplicitous behaviour going on."
In the same interaction, Ranvir went on to talk about the gangs and lobbies in Bollywood. Citing Sushant Singh Rajput's death, he shared that some people in the industry gang up against a person and elbow them out. Moreover, he said that while most people in the industry would agree to this off the record, he can say it on record. In his words:
"And then this thing happened with Sushant a couple of years later, and then I felt like I had to speak out. But all this is, you ask anybody from the film industry, anybody, most of them will say it off record, I can say it on record, I have no problem. This fully happens, you know, ganging up against someone, elbowing them out, standing on somebody's toes, scuttling somebody's career. This happens. This is a fact."
