Just days after their announcement, Scott filed for divorce, and he was granted a temporary restraining order against Kelley. He alleged that she had engaged in a troubling pattern of behavior that was a 'threat of immediate and irreparable harm" to their children. Although, the duo decided to remain silent over the cause of their separation, Kelley claimed that despite Scott filing for divorce, she was the one who initiated it a year ago when she wanted to get past the marriage due to psychological abuse, child abuse, and child endangerment. They later agreed to a temporary agreement where he got the sole physical custody of their kids, and Kelley was given visitation and calling rights.

What did Kelly say about the end of her marriage to Scott?

The internet was left abuzz when PEOPLE revealed some text messages where Kelley allegedly admitted to Scott that she was planning to make accusations of psychological abuse, child endangerment, and stealing passports against him. She admitted that they were not true, but she was advised to use them to "create urgency" in the custody battle. In July 2025, she made those allegations and was later detained twice under psychiatric holds after making concerning comments and threatening with a knife. Sharing her side of the story to People, she said:

"I've lost my career, my reputation, my children, my integrity. As a parent, I have literally lost everything except my life. I've done everything strategic, and I'm hopeful for my children."

After a long silence, Scott Wolf finally decided to share his side of the story with the same outlet and called Kelley's allegations "deeply disturbing and entirely false." He highlighted that it was dangerous for the children. The actor mentioned that he provided the text where she shared her plan to 'protect his kids' and prove the reality to the world. He urged the public and the media to consider the source before repeating the allegations.
