And leading the charge? None other than Bollywood's style icon, Urvashi Rautela. They have become a social media phenomenon thanks to K-pop singer Lisa, who posted her collection in 2024, and the world was obsessed. Labubu soon transitioned from collectable figurine to fashion mascot after that, and influencers and celebrities alike have embraced the doll as a symbol of ironic luxury, pairing the childlike accessory with couture outfits, and expensive handbags.

In India, the trend is being led by names like Ananya Panday, Khushi Kapoor and viral sensation, Orry, who recently went all out with a complete Labubu transformation on an Instagram reel which also featured a cameo from filmmaker, Boney Kapoor.
