Tennis Player, Radhika Yadav, Shared Ordeal To Coach By WhatsApp, 'Idhar Kaafi Restrictions Hai..'

On July 10, 2025, Radhika Yadav, a state-level tennis player, was shot dead by her own father. The news came as a shock to many, as standing in today’s society, these kinds of patriarchal mindset attitudes are not acceptable. There are multiple angles coming up following her death every now and then. A neighbour of Radhika has recently revealed that there might be a love angle behind the murder planned by her dad. However, a WhatsApp chat conversation between Radhika and her coach has surfaced on the internet.

Radhika Yadav shared that she wanted to travel abroad for a couple of months

According to a report by NDTV, the 25-year-old tennis player once had a chat with one of her coaches, Deepak Yadav, where she expressed her wish to travel abroad for a couple of months. For the unversed, Radhika was a resident of the Sushant Lok area in Sector 57, Gurugram. There was a WhatsApp chat conversation between Radhika and Deepak, where the former is seen telling the latter, that she doesn’t want to travel to China, but rather wants to go to Dubai or Australia. She was quoted as saying:

"China toh dekho khana peena will be an issue. Dubai, Australia, wagerah theek hai. Australia family hai. Dubai mein aap ho. 1-2 months. Oct nov dec kuch bhi merko nikalna hai idhar se thode time ke liye."

Radhika Yadav expressed that her family had many restrictions

In the same conversation, Radhika expressed to her coach, Deepak, that she wished to travel abroad to enjoy some time alone and live an independent life. She mentioned how her family had restrictions. Radhika also shared that she had conveyed her wish to do a course, but her dad didn’t give her permission to do it. In her words:

"Ghar wale toh theek hai. Lekin thode time rehna hai independently. Wanna enjoy life idhar kaafi restrictions hai. Baaki dekho aim toh yeh hee hai thode bohot course karle. But phir maine papa se baat ki toh mana kar rahe they sab sunke. Ki koi point nahi hai kitne hee bacchenge paise."

Radhika Yadav’s coach, Ankit Patel, shared a different perspective about the former’s bonding with her father

Speaking to NDTV, another coach of Radhika, Ankit Patel, expressed that the 25-year-old tennis player shared a cordial bond with her father, Deepak Yadav. Ankit shared that Deepak used to support her daughter when it came to her tennis game and always accompanied her. The coach also shared that he had known Radhika for over 13 years. In his words:

"I have known her since she was 11-12 years-old. I knew her father as well. I never found anything amiss during her practices. They shared a good bonding. He always supported her (where playing tennis was concerned) and always travelled with her. I never saw Radhika alone or with anyone else anywhere. If he was giving her so much attention, it may not be right to say he had an issue with the sport but no one knows what can change at what time."
