Telugu Actor, Fish Venkat Dies At 53, Needed Rs. 50 L For Treatment, Viswak Sen Had Donated Rs. 2 L

Popular Telugu actor, Fish Venkat, born Venkat Raj, was suffering from a severe kidney condition. The doctors had told him that getting a kidney transplant was his only option, which would cost him around Rs. 50 lakh. Soon after news went rife that actor, Prabhas had offered Fish the money. However, the rumours were quashed later on by the actor's family and even before they could arrange for the money, Fish passed away at the age of 53.

Fish Venkat dies of chronic kidney failure at the age of 53

Fish Venkat was a popular Telugu actor. He had been in and out of the hospital due to his kidney condition. However, a few days ago, he was admitted to the hospital after his health worsened. Unfortunately, the actor's family was unable to arrange the required amount of Rs. 50 lakh needed for the transplant, and he passed away at the age of 53 on July 19, 2025. 

It was only recently that Fish Venkat's daughter shared that the doctors have recommended a kidney transplant for her father. However, the family was unable to afford the expensive medical procedure and was doing their best to arrange the necessary funds. In the video statement. Fish's daughter stated that her father was in a serious condition and was being kept in the ICU. However, the unfortunate incident has now left them heartbroken. She was quoted as saying:

"Daddy is not well and in a serious condition. He's been kept in the ICU. He requires a kidney transplant, which will cost us at least Rs. 50 lakh."

The fake call about Prabhas donating Rs. 50 lakh to Fish Venkat

It was earlier in July 2025, when, according to multiple reports, Prabhas came forward to help Fish Venkat during his difficult days. Prabhas' team had allegedly reached out to his family and supported him by covering the cost of the kidney transplant. However, it was a few days later when Fish's daughter shared that the news was actually fake. Talking to Suman TV, she was quoted as saying:

"Actually, nothing like that happened. We have been answering every call we get to see if anyone can help us. Some unknown person called us pretending to be Prabhas Anna’s assistant. We found out after that it was a fake call. He doesn't even know something like this is happening. We have not received any financial help yet."

Vishwak Sen donated Rs. 2 lakh for Fish Venkat's kidney transplant

According to reports, although the call from Prabhas was fake, Vishwak Sen came forward to help the actor. The hero was the first from the industry to know about Fish's health and made the donation. In a video statement shared by the family to Sasi TV, they could be heard as saying:

"Vishwak Sen is the first hero from the film industry to know about Fish Venkat's health and donate Rs 2 lakh. This will be of great help to us, so thank you. We urge everyone, from small artists to big heroes, to help Fish Venkat Anna with his health issue."
