Tejasswi Prakash Addresses Split Buzz, Says She And Karan Kundrra Are 'Too Expensive' Together

In a recent interview, Tejasswi spoke up about the same, also addressing the ongoing buzz surrounding their breakup.

Tejasswi shares why she hasn’t collaborated with Karan yet

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Tejasswi Prakash candidly discussed her work on screen, also revealing the reason she has not signed a big project with her beau, Karan Kundrra, yet. In her quirky demeanour, Tejasswi hinted that casting both of them comes with a hefty price tag that producers may not be ready for. She was quoted as saying:

“I feel people crave to see us together. But we are just too expensive together… We do get a lot of love together, but Karan is also independently doing his projects, and I am also doing mine independently. I don't think that it has affected us in terms of work.”

Having been in the industry for years, Karan and Tejasswi have become two of the highest-paid actors on television. In fact, Tejasswi was the highest-paid contestant on Celebrity MasterChef, reportedly earning Rs. 3 lakh per week. 

Tejasswi talks about the ongoing breakup rumours

Tejasswi and Karan’s relationship often stays in the spotlight, with reports constantly speculating whether they are getting married, collaborating on a new project, or heading for a split. Reacting to the ongoing buzz about their alleged breakup, Tejasswi dismissed these speculations with a laugh, saying that neither she nor Karan lets such gossip affect them. She remarked:

“I know that there is a lot of focus on my personal life... But I don’t think the entire focus is just on that… I know our fans keep themselves entertained. And that's fine. I'm okay with that. We find it funny. We actually laugh at it. ”

Tejasswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra have been in a relationship since 2021. Lovingly called 'TejRan' by their fans, the couple continues to grow stronger together. Both are popular faces on Indian television and had met a few times before participating in Bigg Boss 15. 

During the show, their friendship blossomed into love, winning the hearts of viewers nationwide. While many speculated that their relationship might not last after the show ended, the duo has proved everyone wrong by staying strong and bonding well with each other’s families. Speaking about her own identity in the industry, Tejasswi told HT:

“I love it when people like me for the person I am. And it is a lot better when they actually have a sense of the fact that I'm just not a celebrity whom they like. I'm also an artist, and I don't ever want people to forget that. I actually want people to remember me for my art and my love for acting.”
