Taylor Swift, as the most popular global singer, has always been the object of speculation and curiosity. Her current relationship with NFL football player, Travis Kelce, has especially piqued the curiosity of pop music fans and sports lovers alike. Sparking even more excitement for the fans of the dreamy couple, they have just gotten engaged. However, eagle-eyed netizens can't help but scrutinise Taylor's Instagram post to see what Easter Eggs from her love story with Travis she had included in it.
Taylor Swift's last released album, The Tortured Poets Department, featured quite a few songs about her relationship with Travis Kelce. 'So High School' especially paints a very fairy-tale-like picture of their love story, with Taylor opening up about how being with Travis makes her feel like a giddy teenage high-school girl with a crush. One of the most popular lyrics of this song is:
“Truth, dare, spin bottles. You know how to ball, I know Aristotle.”
In her Instagram post, where the couple announced about their new chapter in life, the caption refers to this popular line from 'So High School'. With her witty humour on point, Taylor called herself an English teacher and her fiance, Travis the 'gym teacher'. This was a sweet nod to the song, which perfectly defines their relationship and how Travis makes her feel. Taylor Swift's engagement post's caption, which references 'So High School', reads:
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married."
While most people would have used a heart emoji in the caption to announce the joyous and love-filled occasion, Taylor Swift used a TNT emoji instead. The pop star was also seen wearing a bracelet that says 'TNT'. This is a smart play on both of their names. 'TNT' in the bracelet stands for 'Taylor and Travis'. Meanwhile, TNT is also an explosive. Hence, Taylor Swift used the TNT emoji to refer to their names together.
Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift in a rose garden. In the first photo, Travis was seen on one knee with a ring box in his hand while Taylor lovingly looked into his eyes. The gorgeous couple's marriage proposal took place in an equally beautiful rose garden. With pink and white rose foliage in the backdrop, Taylor and Travis glowed with joy in the glimpses shared from their very special day. Many Swifties have noted the similarity between the backdrop and a photoshoot Taylor did during her Lover era.

Taylor Swift wrote the Lover album with her then-boyfriend, Joe Alwyn, in mind. However, even after their break-up, this particular album has remained a fan favourite, as many of the songs depict a warm and rosy love story. During this era, Taylor did in a photoshoot that featured a background very similar to the garden where Travis proposed to her. A fan account on X highlighted how the pop star had manifested this very moment in the garden. Though Taylor might have written the Lover album and song for someone else, it's quite clear that she has taken Travis as 'the magnetic force of a man', to be her 'lover'.
Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift in front of a rose arch. Three years ago, in her 'Bejewelled' music video, Jack Antonoff knelt in front of a rose arch and proposed to Taylor in a similar fashion. Though this might be a coincidence, it is also interesting to note that three years ago, Taylor Swift had also said on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon:
“Can I hint at something three years in advance? Can I even plan things out that far? I think I’m gonna try to do it.”
Though these are some of the Easter Eggs that were noticed in the Instagram post of Taylor Swift, it's possible that the queen of subtly hiding Easter Eggs might have referred to many more aspects of her love story with Travis Kelce. What more hints did you notice in the post? Let us know.
