Neeraj Pandey’s latest web series, Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web, is leading the headlines for its powerful storyline and stellar cast. The show features Emraan Hashmi, Sharad Kelkar, Amruta Khanvilkar, Zoya Afroz, Nandish Sandhu and Anurag Sinha in important roles. Out of all the actors, Nandish Sandhu caught everyone’s attention as the brave Customs Officer, ‘Ravinder Gujjar’.

Nandish was once the most popular name on television. He appeared in popular shows such as Kasturi, Uttaran, Phir Subah Hogi, Beintehaa, Khatron Ke Khiladi 6, Nach Baliye 7, and many others. Apart from TV shows, Nandish was also seen in films like Dabangg 2, Super 30, and a few others. Apart from Nandish’s professional life, his personal life too caught a lot of limelight.

Nandish got married to his Uttaran co-star, Rashami Desai, in 2012. However, the couple announced their separation in 2014 and were finally divorced in 2015. Rashami Desai and Nandish Sandhu's love story began on the sets of the popular television show, Uttaran. Their relationship had a rocky start, marked by frequent arguments and disagreements. However, during shooting, they became friends and eventually fell in love. Very soon, their on-screen chemistry turned into real-life romance.

It was on Rashami’s birthday that Nandish decided to propose to her. He booked a yacht where he blindfolded Rashami and proposed to her in the middle of the sea. In February 2012, the couple married in the actor's hometown, Dholpur, Rajasthan. Though their wedding was private, it still got a lot of attention.

What led to Nandish Sandhu and Rashami Desai’s split?

Despite their strong bond, Nandish and Rashami couldn’t hold back their marriage, and it eventually crumbled. In 2015, the couple jointly decided to separate as they thought the relationship was not working out. Nandish admitted that he and Rashami rushed into getting married and didn’t put their thoughts completely together as they were young.

The actor also revealed that their thoughts, perspectives, and temperaments were different, and that it was only after getting married that they realised they were incompatible. In an interview with Siddharth Kanan, Nandish revealed that their immaturity led to disagreements, which eventually harmed their relationship.

In the same interview, Nandish Sandhu recalled being blamed for the divorce. The actor was called a Casanova and felt cornered. Speaking about the same, he stated:

“When the separation happened, I felt everybody was pointing fingers at me. Everyone was looking at me like a culprit. There were things being said in the media about me, that I was physically abusive, I was a Casanova. I started feeling cornered. And it took a toll on my professional decisions too."

Nandish Sandhu and Rashami Desai are on cordial terms with each other

Despite their bad phase, Nandish Sandhu and Rashami Desai have let bygones be bygones and now share a cordial relationship. In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rashami revealed that she maintains a respectful relationship with Nandish and is cordial with him whenever they meet at a party.

Nandish Sandhu found love again in Kavita Banerjee

Post his divorce from Rashami, Nandish gave love another chance. He fell in love with actress, Kavita Banerjee and the duo started dating. The couple got engaged in September 2025 and announced it on social media, sharing an array of pictures.
