Anupam Kher directorial, Tanvi The Great, is a soft visual film, which leaves a lasting impression. The trailer for the upcoming film introduces debutante, Shubhangi Dutt as 'Tanvi The Great', the autistic daughter of an armyman. The film also features Anupam Kher as 'Tanvi's grandfather', who seemed to have stopped living life after the passing of his son. On the other hand, Pallavi Joshi plays the role of 'Tanvi's mother', who beautifully caters to her with love and respect.
Taking to the YouTube channel and other social media handles, Anupam Kher dropped the three-minute-long video trailer of Tanvi The Great. In the film, autism is made to believe as a superpower. It is a kind of nudge to all those people who have autistic kids and lose patience with them. It shows how with kindness, care and love, these children can be made to lead a normal in their own special way.
The trailer started with Shubhangi, played by 'Tanvi', in conversation with her mother, 'Vidya', and she was all set to take a trip to her grandfather, Colonel Pratap Raina's hometown, Landsdowne. Her father, 'Samar Raina', played by Karan Tacker, died while serving in the army when she was young. However, when she attended an army event, Tanvi's heart yearned to join the army and take military training.
But the journey is not easy, her autism keeps her far behind everyone, people made fun of her and everyone seems to be against it. The film showcases her beautiful journey, featuring some heart-melting moments and amusing takes. During the course of her journey she approaches 'Major Srinivasan' played by Arvind Swami's character, to turn her into a 'cheetah' during her training in the army. Further, the trailer shows Tanvi fulfilling her father's dream and standing at Siachen, the world's highest battlefield.
This beautiful project was made under Farhan Akhtar's production banner, Excel Entertainment. Sharing the trailer, Farhan narrated Tanvi's journey and how the world saw her through a different lens. Despite her shortcomings, her heart knew she could. Farhan wrote:
