During the conference, Shah Rukh Khan was asked if Dunki could revive the success of content-driven films at the box office, despite not being a mass entertainer film like Jawan and Pathaan. King Khan gave a gracious response to this question and said that there has never been a more entertaining director than Rajkumar Hirani. He added:
“Mujhe lagta hai na ki hum bohot zyada analyse karte hai films ko. We keep on talking too much about mass-oriented, content-oriented etc. I think films are entertainment-oriented. Kisi bhi tarah se wo hamare dil ko bhaye, entertain kare, jo bhi unka topic ho. Mujhe aisa nahi lagta ki Jawan ya Pathaan mass cinema the ya kuch the, they were just entertaining films. Aur jab entertaining ki baat hoti hai, I don’t think, with honesty I can say, there’s never been a more entertaining director than Rajkumar Hirani.”
