There has been a buzz for some time now that the makers have an eye on the Euphoria star and are planning to onboard the actress in the upcoming 26th instalment of the James Bond franchise. According to Variety, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, is keen to cast Sydney Sweeney in the film. Now, in a recent interview with Variety, Sydney was asked to shed light on the following buzz.

Pausing for a moment after hearing the question, Sydney shared that she doesn’t know anything about the rumours, but she is a huge fan of the series. She also expressed whether she is interested in playing a role in the upcoming film. In her words:

"I can’t. I don’t know. To be honest, I don’t know all the Bond rumours, but I’ve always been a huge fan of the franchise, and I’m excited and curious to see what they do with it. Depends on the script. I think I’d have more fun as James Bond."

Sydney Sweeney recalls the trolling she received as a teenager for her looks

In the same interview, Sydney recalled a moment from her teenage days when she was trolled for her looks. The Euphoria star shared that when she was 16, someone told her to get Botox because it would help her fit in the industry. She mentioned that the person told her to fix her face, otherwise, she would not make it to the entertainment world. She was quoted as saying:

"I have very strong eyebrow muscles. And I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it. I should get Botox. I was 16! Or I’m in a casting and I’m reading my scene and the casting director is eating a bag of chips, and I’m like, ‘You’re not paying attention at all'."

Sydney Sweeney will next be seen in the biopic of boxing legend, Christy Martin. For the film, she reportedly lost almost 30 pounds to play Christy Martin. She also has Euphoria 3 in the pipeline. The American psychological teen drama TV series, Euphoria, helped Sydney to gain wider acclaim. According to Screenrant, Sydney Sweeney will also be seen in films like Barbarella, The Housemaid, Echo Valley, and Masque of Red Death.

In a recent screening of the upcoming biopic about Christy Martin, she discussed how the role impacted her life. She shared how the portrayal of the boxing legend taught her to stand up for herself. For the unversed, on October 11, 2025, the biopic held a special screening in West Hollywood, ahead of its theatrical release. Sydney was quoted as saying:

"It taught me a lot about myself, actually, throughout the entire process. She taught me how to stand up for myself more and feel stronger in my personal life and my work life. We both fight our own fights in different types of rings, and, yeah, check in on your friends and make sure they’re all okay."
