Swiggy Delivery Agent Makes Delivery With 2-Year-Old Daughter Says, 'No One At Home'

Every parent makes countless sacrifices for their children, which cannot be measured. When it comes to a father, he knows to carry the weight of the full world on his shoulders, but does not let any discomfort come to his daughter. One such story is of Pankaj, who is a delivery agent associated with Swiggy from Gurugram. His post has gone viral, where he was seen managing his 2-year-old little daughter and also taking care of his job. His dedication to his work and as a parent showed his countless sacrifices.

Swiggy delivery partner, Pankaj, balances deliveries with his two-year-old daughter

A Gurugram-based CEO named, Mayank Agarwal shared the post related to Pankaj after he had a personal experience. His wife passed away during childbirth, leaving behind Pankaj with his little daughter. When the CEO shared the post, netizens were left with compassion and empathy for the parent and the child. Pankaj was admired on social media when Mayank had asked Pankaj to give his order upstairs. He paused when he heard the voice of a child when they had a phone call. When Mayank came to meet Pankaj, he got to see Tun Tun, who was sitting on her dad's bike. The delivery agent revealed he has to get his daughter as there is no one to look after her. His son has to go to classes. Mayank shared the post and wrote:

“This Shook Me to the Core. A Swiggy delivery partner called me and said, ‘I have reached.’ I requested him to come to the second floor, but just before I hung up, I heard a child’s voice in the background. Curious, I asked, ‘Is there a child with you?’ He replied, ‘Yes.’ I immediately said, ‘I’ll come downstairs.’ When I got to the gate, I saw him with a toddler, barely two years old, seated on his bike. I gently asked, ‘Why is she with you?’ He responded, ‘There’s no one at home. Her elder brother attends evening classes, and I need to look after her until he returns. Her name is Tun Tun. She lost her mother during childbirth."

Pankaj did not let his work get affected despite the challenges he was facing on a personal level. He told Mayank that there have been customers who have given him the advice to stay at home. They also said that having a toddler was his problem. All Pankaj did was smile. Mayank also noted that the experience reminded him of how much we take for granted, and how many people silently bear great difficulties every day. The CEO was inspired by their strength.

Netizens were inspired by Pankaj's story

When Mayank shared the post on LinkedIn, it went viral in no time. One user commented, "This is a powerful reminder of the quiet resilience so many people show every single day. Mr. Pankaj’s story is a stark reflection of the unseen struggles that exist behind the services we often take for granted. This specifically also shows the struggles of single parents and total lack of empathy from society ( as evident from some of the comments from customers ) and absence of an affordable and reliable support system." Others spoke about how the delivery boys are not robots, they are human with everything human like. The system is unfair on them because of the unemployment scene.
