Amid this news sending shockwaves, people also had a question about who would take forward his legacy, Sona Comstar. While it hasn't been revealed yet, the firm has declared their new chairman, and also designated Sunjay's third wife, Priya Sachdev to a vital role after Sunjay's demise.

Sona Comstar shared a notice, wherein they have mentioned that their new chairman, after Sunjay's demise, would be Jeffrey Mark Overly, while Vivek Vikram Singh will continue to be the CEO of the firm. On the other hand, Sona Comstar announced that Sunjay's third wife, Priya Sachdev, will be designated an additional non-executive director of the firm. An NED or non-executive director's work is to ensure that the company is running properly, without being engaged in day-to-day actions that are being done in the company. He/she might sit with the board and work like a mentor, who generally has an important role while any serious decision is being taken for the company.

In the post from Sona Comstar, it was known that Priya Sachdev is an entrepreneur and investor, and her journey has spanned various industries and ideas. Priya is currently working as the director of Aureus Investment Private Limited, wherein she looks after the investment strategy. Priya has also worked as an investment banker and was even in luxury retail. Priya's first job was at Credit Suisse First Boston, wherein she was designated in the post of an M&A analyst, after which she returned to India and looked after her family business, followed by which, she also tried her hand in movies, advertisement, and fashion. Earlier, a report by BollywoodLife claimed that Sunjay Kapur's legacy will be taken forward by his two sisters, Superna Motwane and Mandhira Kapur. It's worth mentioning that there was no confirmation about the same. For the unversed, Sunjay and his sister, Mandhira hadn't talked to each other for 4 years. It was reported that they had a legal dispute over Mandhira using the name 'Sona' for her business.

However, Mandhira took to her IG handle after her brother's demise and penned a long note, where she regretted not to solve their issues on time, and letting her brother know how much she loved him. Mandhira, in the note, expressed her hurt as she walked down the memory lane to recall the days of their childhood, and the amount of fun they used to have. She also revealed that she would carry around her broken heart with a little hope that her brother surely had known that his sister loved him.
