Sunita Ahuja Shares Dramatic Labour Room Memory Of Yashvardhan's Birth, 'I Was 100kgs...'

Lately, Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have been grabbing a lot of attention because of their recent separation rumours. Amid all the headlines, Sunita Ahuja recently recalled her labour room experience, while giving birth to her son, Yashvardhan and described it as a filmy moment. 

Sunita Ahuja recalls her filmy labour room experience

In a recent interview with Eat Travel Repeat, Sunita Ahuja was asked about the most filmy moment of her life and to answer that she recalled an emotional moment. She mentioned that during the birth of Yashvardhan, she was almost 100 kgs and Govinda couldn’t control his tears looking at Sunita. She recalled:

"When I was delivering my son Yash, I was 100 kgs. I had gained a lot of weight. I thought I would die. Looking at me, Chi Chi (Govinda) started to cry."

Sunita continued to add that she dramatically told the doctors to save their child even if she herself dies in the process. She mentioned that during the entire process Govinda was continuously crying and howling. In her words:

"During those days, sex-detection tests were legal. We knew we were having a son. I dramatically told the doctor, ‘Doctor, my husband wants a son. Please save the child, it is okay if I die in the process.’ This made Govinda cry even more. He was howling. It was an extremely filmy moment for all of us."

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja’s marriage and divorce rumours

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja have had a long, private and beautiful history together. Reportedly, the couple met in the 1980s, and they got married in 1987. Initially, the duo kept their relationship private, but later they went public and welcomed their daughter, Tina in 1989. Years later, the couple welcomed their son, Yashvardhan in 1997. In the past several years, Sunita has been seen as the biggest supporter of Govinda's career and the family. 

Recently, Govinda and Sunita have been making headlines because of divorce rumours. According to multiple reports, Sunita had filed a divorce petition in December 2024, on grounds such as cruelty, adultery and desertion. In May 2025, court issued a notice as Govinda wasn't appearing. Allegedly, the couple has been trying to make things work and amid that, Govinda's manager has denied all separation rumours.

Govinda is one of the most recognised and celebrated actors in Bollywood. In his long career, he has worked on almost 165 films and received several awards. Some of his iconic films are Raja Babu, Coolie no. 1, Hero no. 1, Dulhe Raja, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and more. In June 2025, Govinda took to his Instagram handle to announce his upcoming film, Duniyadari. 

Sunita Ahuja, on the other hand, launched her YouTube vlog in August 2025. She titled her first vlog as, 'Ab main bhi paise chapungi'. Within 10 days, she earned more than 160k subscribers. While some users appreciated her vlogs, some felt that she was trying to copy Farah Khan and Dilip's daily vlogs.
