Sudhir Dalvi is best known for his portrayal of 'Sai Baba' in the 1977 film, Shirdi Ke Sai Baba. The actor was immensely loved in the role. However, it seems like now he has been facing some major health issues. Sudhir has been hospitalised, and his family has been asking his fans and the industry to help with the financial burden in these difficult times.
Sudhir Dalvi has been hospitalised and is in critical condition. According to a report by India Today, the actor was "suffering from life-threatening complications caused by sepsis." The report revealed that Sudhir's family stated the 86-year-old has been admitted to Lilavati Hospital since the first week of October 2025. However, now that his condition has become more severe, the family has approached the film fraternity to help with the increasing medical expenses.

Sudhir Dalvi's family has paid nearly Rs. 10 lakh for his treatment since he was admitted to the hospital early in October 2025. The doctors said the expenditure could shoot to Rs. 15 lakh. His wife, Suhas Dalvi, recently spoke with India Today and revealed that on October 8, 2025, he faced extreme pain, lost mobility of his limbs, and was rushed to the hospital. He was kept in the ICU. She was quoted as saying:
"That’s when we got to know it was a sepsis infection, which has affected all his joints. And since the infection has now spread to his blood, recovery has been extremely slow. We never anticipated something like this to happen with us, and thus it’s emotionally and financially a tough time."

In the same conversation, Suhas Dalvi revealed that they come from a middle-class family and have limited savings. She shared how, unlike government employees, her husband, Sudhir Dalvi, doesn't get any pension or benefits. She added that bills have led them into a financial crunch. She was quoted as saying:
"We are like any middle-class family that has limited savings. Unlike government employees, who receive pensions, actors have no such benefits. So, I would still request everyone to come forward and help us in any way they can. Sudhir needs to be in the hospital for more time now."

A paparazzo page shared a post on Instagram about Sudhir. Reacting to it, Ranbir Kapoor's sister, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, wrote, "Done (folded hands emoji). Wishing him a speedy recovery." However, Riddhima's comment was seen negatively, with people questioning why she would mention it. A person wrote, "@riddhimakapoorsahniofficial, why did u mention here if you have helped? Footage chahiye?" Nonetheless, the diva didn't let the troll slide and responded:
