Su From So OTT release: when and where to watch?

The film has made it from Rs. 120 crore to Rs. 125 crore across the world. Earlier, Raj B Shetty, who produced the film, denied the OTT release of the film. But according to the latest update, Colors Kannada and JioHotstar have the satellite and digital rights of the film. It is going to stream on September 5, 2025, on JioHotstar.

Su From So storyline

Su From So shows 'Prakash' played by JP Thuminad, a painter. He had a crush on a beautiful woman in the village, and it led him to an unpredictable situation. To get out of it, he pretends to be possessed by a spirit. However, his act led villagers to think that something was terribly wrong with him. Despite his best efforts to prove that the spirit had left long ago, villagers remain convinced that all was not well with him. So, to make things okay, they attempt to exorcise the soul, which is then identified as 'Sulochana from Someshwara'. Viewers are left intrigued by knowing why Sulochana chose Prakash's body.

The film's music was by Sumedh K. It also features Shaneel Gautham, Sandhya Arekere, Raj B Shetty, Mime Ramadas, Prakash Thuminad, Pushparaja Bollar and Deepak Rai Panaje. While the film seems interesting, for the Telugu audience, it wasn't new as these village horror setups have been shown in Telugu cinema, but it worked well for the Kannada audience.

However, the film lacks the horror part. It is based on a good thought, but it has not been developed in the film. In fact, the message that the director wanted to deliver didn't come out clearly. In fact, 'Ashok's character also seems to have been sidelined. Some scenes feel repetitive and give a sense that they have been seen before.

Audience reviews of Su From So

Despite the lack of clarity, people find it interesting. One user on X wrote, "#SuFromSo – An absolute laughter carnage. When was the last time the whole auditorium had laughed so hard watching a Kannada movie? Su from So is the answer to many questions. My show was full, and that’s a rare phenomenon in KFI, a film with no big names and relatively new faces having its first show to a full house on a working day. This film shouldn’t be missed in theatres – A must watch! Thank you for this! @RajbShettyOMK #JPTumniad."

A second user commented, "Su from 10/10 (premiere show). Just watched Su From So at the premiere—an exceptional blend of comedy and horror with outstanding direction. As someone from Udupi/Mangalore, I found it incredibly relatable and distinct from other films in the genre. Highly recommended."
