His usual behaviour of passing sexual comments on a girl, peeping when a woman is changing clothes, is exactly the thing that has traumatised 'Bhanu' throughout her life. It is at this point that 'Ashoka' takes on Sulochana’s role and tries to help 'Bhanu'. He frees Bhanu from the exploitation and brings her to Marlur, a place where she belongs.

As soon as Ashoka settles Bhanu with ‘Ravi Anna’, the villagers are convinced that Sulochana will bow to leave Ashoka’s body as she found her peace. On the other hand, Ashoka knows when to bring Sulochana back as a weapon, not just to fight the demons of society but also to get himself out of a problem.

'Su From So' is a satire that captures patriarchy

Su From So is not just a comic horror drama, but is a satirical take on the society where patriarch prevails. The film highlights the deep-rooted misogyny and how a woman believed that it was a privilege to have her voice acknowledged. The entrenched patriarchy shown in the film shows how women are just a source to objectify and nothing more.

While the villagers believed Sulochana had left Ashoka’s body, he took advantage of whatever had happened and still made people believe that he was possessed.
