Steve Harvey On Lori's Love Life And Their Dad-Daughter Rules, Says, 'Her Ex, He's Now My Ex Too..'

Comedian and TV host, Steve Harvey is also a doting father. And now, in a recent conversation, he talked about the same and the rules he has with his kids, especially when it comes to their dating lives. According to Steve, when it comes to Lori Harvey's love life, her exes automatically become his exes too. The 68-year-old comedian and TV personality talked about the rules he and Lori have set in an episode of The Pivot podcast while opening up about his 28-year-old daughter’s highly publicised love life.

Steve Harvey talks about his daughter, Lori Harvey's love life

Steve Harvey is known for giving the world some of the best relationship advice. However, what does he do when it comes to his own daughter, Lori's love life? Is the advice still applicable? Well, Steve talked about the rules Lori has set for him when it comes to her exes and revealed:

"It's hard, man. I ain't gonna lie, it's hard. I've had to swallow some things, you know? And I feel for her because she's in public. See, I gotta be real careful cause Lori, boy, she be in my a**. I can't make any mistakes. … I saw one of [her] exes somewhere at a game somewhere and I shook his hand. Well, I can't even touch his a** no more."

Steve Harvey, during the same podcast, revealed that no matter what happens, he is not supposed to interact with Lori's exes. He revealed that there is a simple rule in their house: if a boy is her ex, then he will treat Steve's ex the same way, and he is supposed to do so. He was quoted as saying:

"I'd better not acknowledge him or look at him or anything no more. So I'm off limits. If you a ex, your ass is my ex too. The rule in our house is: any boy that's an ex, he's now my ex too. I must hate him like we were dating."

Steve Harvey is extremely protective of his children

In another conversation, Steve shared that as his children's father, he is supposed to be their protector. He added that he has to be their example of what love looks like, and he ensures this by treating their mother right. He revealed that how he treats their mother is very important because they look at it and they see it. So, he had to try to be a great example for them. Steve also noted that every young man who came to his house to date one of his daughters heard the same warning. He stated: 

"If you put your hand on her, I will find you. And I am going to do some things to you that’s going to be ungodly."

Steve Harvey has seven children. According to PEOPLE, Steve shares twin daughters, Brandi and Karli, and son, Broderick Jr., with his first wife, Marcia. He had a son, Wynton, with his second wife, Mary. After marrying Marjorie in 2007, he adopted three children: Morgan, Jason, and Lori.
