Late Bollywood actress, Sridevi has left a legacy that no one can ever even think of replicating. From a young age, Sridevi showed her acting prowess. In 1967, at the age of four, Sridevi made her debut in the Tamil film, Kandhan Karunai as a child artist. And by the age of 13, she got her first role as an adult in the Tamil film, Moondru Mudichu. After featuring in countless South films, Sridevi proved her mettle in Hindi cinema. She is hailed as the first female superstar. However, not many know that her co-stars were petrified of her, while she was extremely gentle.
Recently, in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Mahesh Thakur, who had worked with Sridevi in Malini Iyer, talked about working with the late star. He revealed that he was petrified while shooting a romantic first wedding night scene with the actress on the very first day of the shoot. He stated that he had a lot of romantic scenes while shooting for the 2004 comedy show. He was quoted as saying:
"Here I was getting to romance her. Since we had a lot of romantic scenes, we really gelled up well. Also with Satish ji at the helm, it was stressful for any actor to be performing there. But, I think the sense of comfort that Sridevi brought with her… it made things really easy. I remember Prabhudeva had been signed to shoot some initial dance scenes and he too was in awe of her. While we were petrified, she was as welcoming as ever."
