Amidst the reports, speculations swirled that the South sensation had started dating her Bollywood co-star, Kartik, and even his mom's subtle hint intensified the buzz.

And now, she is back to lead the headlines as she is all set to appear on the Telugu talk show, Jayammu Nischayammu Raa, by Jagapathi Babu. In the talk show, Sreeleela will be seen alongside her mom, Swarnalatha. If the reports are to be believed, on this talk show, the actress is going to talk about several aspects of her life, including her early life struggles. Sreeleela once talked about lacking fatherly affection in her real life

Sreeleela had not talked about her early life much in the media, and she also didn't open up much about her father publicly disowning her back in 2021. Well, it was in 2023, when the actress took part in the trailer launch event of the movie, Bhagawant Kesari. In the movie, she played the role of the actor, Balayya’s brother's daughter.

The actor played a fatherly figure in the movie, and Sreeleela expressed her gratitude to Balakrishna for his support, which she considered to be similar to that of a father figure, especially when she felt overwhelmed or depressed. She also mentioned that these are such experiences that she actually lacked in her personal life. Although she didn't directly mention her father, her statement was heavily emotional. Sreeleela could be quoted as saying:

"I’ve to thank Balakrishna garu in many ways because whenever I used to get carried away with the character and felt depressed, he used to cheer me up with jokes and say that we are fellow Geminites. Also, he has given me many experiences that I don’t have in real life."

When Sreeleela's alleged father, Surapaneni Subhakar Rao publicly disowned her

For those who are unaware, Sreeleela's alleged father, Surapaneni Subhakar Rao, an industrialist, held a media event on October 17, 2021, wherein he disowned Sreeleela. He revealed that Sreeleela was not his daughter, and Swarnalatha and he had separated long before the actress was born. The industrialist requested the media not to use his name, PellisandaD, as the actress's father.

Surapaneni also alleged that Swarnalatha and Sreeleela were using his name for personal gain. He stated that Swarnalatha sought more alimony and continued to apply in various courts, despite the final verdict. Meanwhile, he said that Sreeleela used his name in the media, and both parties had malicious intentions. The Telugu businessman also said that he had faced a whole lot of loss after his separation from Swarnalatha, which took place 20 years ago.
