Sorab Bedi Addresses Dating Rumours With Malaika Arora Post Viral Party Video, 'Between Us...'

Dating rumours in Bollywood are a dime a dozen. The latest dating rumour that has been making the rounds is that of actor, Sorab Bedi and Malaika Arora being in a romantic relationship. For those unaware, rumours of their romance began after a video of the duo partying and dancing together surfaced online. Not only that, their closeness and a warm hug added fuel to the rumour. With fans' speculations spiralling out of control, Sorab Bedi has now taken it upon himself to address the rumours and set the record straight about the kind of relationship he has with Malaika.  

Sorab Bedi addresses dating rumours with Malaika Arora  

Sorab Bedi recently sat for an interview with Zoom. While conversing with the outlet, Sorab revealed how disappointed he felt that fans were making such assumptions about his relationship with Malaika Arora. He was quick to shut down the romance rumours as baseless. Sorab clarified that the only bond between him and Malaika is that of friendship and nothing more.  

Recalling how he met Malaika for the first time, Sorab revealed that he was introduced to her by his mentors, Delnaz Daruwala and Vahbiz Mehta. Apparently, at the time, Sorab was still modelling. After being introduced by his mentors, Sorab didn't take long to enter the same social circle as Malaika. This eventually led him to attend the same parties where Malaika was also present. To quote his words: 

“Delnaz Daruwala and Vahbiz Mehta gave me a chance to walk the ramp during my modelling days. I became friends with them and started going out for parties. At one of the parties, I met Malaika (Arora) through my mentors. She is also a close friend of Delnaz and Vahbiz. Hence, Malaika and I became friends. There is nothing between us.”  

Talking about how the video where Sorab and Malaika can be seen dancing and hugging, the actor said that netizens were too quick to jump to conclusions. He said that since people are talking without thinking twice, and since it involves a girl, it could have a bad impact on her mental state. Sorab stated: 

“People are talking several things about us. They should think twice before speaking about a girl. It could affect her mental state. Aisa karna nahin chahiye.”  

Sorab Bedi opened up about how the interaction between him and Malaika in the viral video was nothing new

In the same conversation with Zoom, the Dilwali Dulha Le Jayegi actor made it clear that the interaction that people were seeing in the viral video between Sorab and Malaika was nothing new. He reiterated that both he and Malika have been in the same friend circle for years. Sorab shared: 

“I didn’t party with them for the first time. I have been partying with Vahbiz, Delnaz and Malaika for many years. I earlier used to share pictures with Malaika, but at that time, I was not a known face. Now, I am a known face; hence, it is now being noticed by people."

It is interesting to note that Sorab said that pictures and videos like the one going viral have also been posted before. However, the reason that all of that flew under the radar was because at the time Sorab was still not widely recognised, especially compared to today. Sorab claimed that two people can be simply friends. He said that while they trust each other, “people look at it differently.”
