Now coming to his personal life, Varun tied the knot with his co-star, Lavanya Tripathi, in 2023. For the unversed, the duo met on the sets of Mister and eventually started dating each other. Earlier this year, on May 6, 2025, the couple shared good news about welcoming their first child. Now, on June 20, 2025, the duo has shared a video where the soon-to-be-parents are seen enjoying their babymoon on a cosy island.

Taking to his Instagram handle on June 20, 2025, Varun shared a collaborative post with his wife, Lavanya, as they went on a vacation and were busy spending time with each other before the arrival of their little one. The parents-to-be are in seventh heaven as they are all set to welcome their little bundle of joy. The moment is extra special for the duo as they will be embracing parenthood for the first time. Now, in the recently shared video, the couple is seen enjoying their babymoon on a blissful island. In the video, Lavanya and Varun are enjoying the sunsets and sunrises together and are walking hand-in-hand on the sand. Sharing the adorable moment, the couple captioned it as:

"Living the island edit (with waves emoji)."

To announce their pregnancy news, the duo shared a black and white photo. In the particular photo, the couple is seen holding hands while Varun tucks his two fingers inside a pair of tiny shoes. The adorable picture holds a metaphorical meaning, indicating that the couple is all set to embrace parenthood, and soon, there will be a new addition to their family. The couple is on cloud nine as they are all set to start a new chapter in their life, and captioned the post as:

"Life’s most beautiful role yet - Coming soon."

Varun and Lavanya crossed paths on the sets of their film, Mister, in 2016 and eventually started dating each other. The couple has appeared together in films like Mister, Gandeevadhari Arjuna and Antariksham 9000 KMPH. The duo dated for six years before exchanging rings on June 8, 2023, in Hyderabad. In the same year, the couple tied the knot on November 1, 2023, in Tuscany, Italy. Varun and Lavanya kept their wedding a hush-hush event and invited only close friends and family.

Initially, both Varun and Lavanya kept their relationship under wraps for 5 years, before making it official in June 2023. And now, after two years of marital bliss, the duo is all set to embark on a new journey and is prepping hard to welcome their first child. Earlier, in an interview with The Indian Express, Varun shared why he and Lavanya had kept their relationship a secret for five years. In his words:

"When we met, we were still discovering and trying to figure out our place in the industry. So we figured that was more important to us at the time rather than falling in love and roaming around the city. So we kind of gave our work the priority in the beginning. Later we understood that it was the right approach for us as we grew as people together."
