Sonam Led Her Husband, Raja To Deserted Road During Honeymoon Where Contract Killers Were Waiting

The hope of a new beginning turned into lifelong pain and tragedy for the Raghuvanshi family as their son, Raja Raghuvanshi, was brutally killed by his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi, while they were on their honeymoon. The couple went missing from their honeymoon, and later Raja's decaying body was found. However, it was much later when Sonam was traced at Ghaziabad.

According to Meghalaya police sources shared that the shocking details about Raja Raghuvanshi. Sonam is the prime suspect in the case. Raja's decomposed body was discovered from a gorge while Sonam was found alive in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur. According the police sources in Shillong, Sonam planned her husband, Raja's murder with her beau, Raj Khushwaha. They decided to hire contract killers to execute their plan. 

During the entire operation, Raj was continuously in touch with Sonam over the phone. The three contract killers, Akshay, Vishal and Anand were in Shiloong where the couple was enjoying their honeymoon. The murder was carried out after Sonam lured her husband onto a deserted road in Cherrapunji. After carrying out the murder, the four accused went from Shillong to Assam's Guwahati for a day and left together before separating.

Well, the post-wedding celebration at Raja's home turned into tears and howls after the couple went missing in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills on May 23, 2025. They were on their honeymoon, later, a man's body was recovered from a gorge on June 2, 2025. However, his wife wasn't found then. The reports claim that the couple was last seen by the tourist guide in Mawlakhiat. They were accompanied with three men at around 10 a.m. They were heading towards a 3,000-step route to Nogriat, which is a tourist spot. The guide offered to take them, but they refused and hired another guide on the same day, they went missing.

Raja Raghuvanshi's autopsy report revealed that he was hit on the head with a sharp cutting object. He was hit in the back and the front of the head while he was on a honeymoon trip with his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi. For the unversed, Raja was an Indore-based businessman who passed away after the brutal attack. 

According to the reports, Sonam changed her plea in her first statement after being detained. She claimed that she had no role in the murder of her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi. Sonam revealed that she was abducted, and later, she was abandoned in Ghazipur, where she was later detained at a dhaba by the police authorities.  

Well, the chilling case of Raja Raghuvanshi's death during honeymoon has left shockwaves in the entire nation.
