Sonakshi Sinha's Brother, Kussh Sinha Talks About Sibling Rivalry, 'Mere Rishtedaar Ho Ya Na Ho..'

Shatrughan Sinha's son, Kussh S Sinha, chose a route different from his family. He likes to direct the actor rather than act in front of the camera. The star kid is all set to make his directorial debut with the film, Nikita Roy, which was portrayed by his sister, Sonakshi Sinha. It is worth mentioning that Sonakshi's relationship with her brothers, Luv Sinha and Kussh Sinha changed drastically after she decided to marry Zaheer Iqbal.

Recently, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Kussh talked about his dynamics with his sister, Sonakshi Sinha, on the sets of Nikita Roy. He shared whether the sibling rivalry impacted the filmmaking process. Kussh stated that he was clear on set that she was a highly experienced actor, so he always respected her. He was quoted as saying:

"On set I was very clear that she is an actor — and that too someone who has done multiple films, toh unka anubhav bhi hai (so she has the experience). So I had to keep that in mind and give her the respect as an actor. And I do it with everybody — mere rishtedaar ho ya naa ho (whether they are my relatives or not). We all know actors don't have a shortage of work. They are being offered scripts every week, so anybody who chooses to be a part of your film — you should treat them with respect."

Kusha further stated that the script came to him first. However, being a director, he wanted to cast her for the film. He stated that Sonakshi was the right choice for the film's casting and that he had done an amazing job portraying the character of 'Nikita Roy'.

It is worth mentioning that Kussh Sinha directed his sister, Sonakshi Sinha, in his debut film as a director. In an interview with Times Now, Sonakshi Sinha talked about her fight with her brother, Kussh, on the film set. She shared that it happened during the last shot of the film, when they were shooting at the London Bridge. The scene required her to have an ice-cream in her hand, so she chose her favourite flavour, but Kussh didn't like the colour of the flavour. 

Sonakshi stated that they had an argument over the colour of the ice cream and how it would not look good on camera. However, due to the heatwave in London, her ice cream melted and they scrapped the idea. She stated that by the end of the last shot, their family dynamics showed on the set.

A few months ago, Sonakshi Sinha, in an interaction with Hautterfly, shared that since she was the youngest of all, she was the most pampered one, which made her brothers jealous of her. So, they would often hit her. However, she mentioned that such sibling fights are normal. But the real tension escalated during Sonakshi's wedding with Zaheer in 2024. The brothers, Luv and Kussh, chose to stay away from their sister's big day. There was a strong buzz that they were not happy with Sonakshi's choice of husband.
