Shoaib Is Worried For Son, Ruhaan As Dipika Gets Diagnosed With Liver Tumor, 'He Has Never Been..'

Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar are among the most loved couples on Indian television. The duo who met on the sets of their show, Sasural Simar Ka, soon fell in love and never looked back. They delighted fans by tying the knot and share daily updates from their life on their vlogs, which makes fans seem they are a part of the couple's lives. Consequently, fans were left shocked after Shoaib recently revealed that Dipika has been diagnosed with a tennis-ball-sized liver tumor. Apart from sharing his concerns for Dipika, Shoaib has also shared that he and Dipika are concerned for their one year old son. Here's why.

Shoaib Ibrahim reveals that Ruhaan exclusively relies on breastfeeding

Shoaib Ibrahim took to his YouTube handle on May 15, 2025, and dropped a video sharing the shocking news about his wife, Dipika, being diagnosed with a liver tumor. Apart from the revelations about the Sasural Simar Ka actress's health, he also shared that his family is concerned about the couple's one-year-old son, Ruhaan. He explained that Ruhaan, who will turn two next month, has not stayed away from his mother, Dipika, for long hours which might create a problem in the future during her treatment. In his words:

"The biggest threat we all are currently facing is how we are going to manage Ruhaan. As many of you know, ever since he came into our lives, he has never been away from Dipika for long hours."

The Ajooni actor shared that another concern they are facing about Ruhaan is that he has not yet weaned. He has always been dependent on his mother's breastfeeding. Consequently, despite them trying to give him other stuff, he still looks for his mom. Sharing his concerns, Shoaib said:

"Ruhaan is exclusively on breastfeeding, and he has never tasted any other form of milk. The weaning process hasn't begun yet, which makes the process delicate. How much ever we feed him other stuff, he needs breast milk, at least for some time. Dipika wakes up at midnight so many times to breastfeed, and Ruhaan asks for it. We are stressed about how we will manage it. Especially during the surgery time as we don't know yet for how many days Dipika and he will have to stay apart."

In the same video, Shoaib Ibrahim shared that when they got the reports, Dipika broke down in tears and was concerned about being away from her son. He added that they are not sure about the exact situation of Dipika's health. Although, some reports reveal that the tumor is non-cancerous, more tests are being done, and surgery would be done to remove it. As a result, everyone is worried for Dipika. Recalling her reaction to the news, Shoaib said:

"We don't know the situation yet, but Dipika is very worried. The moment Dipika saw the report, the first thing that stuck with her was how will Ruhaan would stay without her, and she got emotional."

Dipika Kakar’s career so far 

Dipika Kakar debuted in Television shows with Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi. But she got her breakthrough with the role of 'Simar Bhardwaj' in Sasural Simar Ka, which made her a household name during the 6 years of its run. She played the role of a devoted daughter-in-law who protects her husband and in-laws from different threats, which resonated with the masses. Later, the actress participated in different shows like Nach Baliye 8, Bigg Boss 12, Celebrity MasterChef, and more. She took a step back from full-time acting after welcoming her son, Ruhaan, in 2023.
