Television actress, Shehnaaz Gill had risen to immense fame with her stint in the popular reality show, Bigg Boss Season 13. It was during the show that she had met the show's host, Salman Khan, and the two had developed a great bond. Ever since then, Salman has been taking care of her just like his younger sister. Moreover, Shehnaaz Gill is all set to made her Bollywood debut in the film, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, starring Salman Khan.
For the unversed, on May 3, 2022, Salman Khan's sister, Arpita Khan and her hubby, Aayush Sharma had hosted a grand Eid party at their house, and it was Salman's care towards Shehnaaz Gill that had grabbed eyeballs at the event. While Shehnaaz was making her way towards her car, she had said to Salman “Chhod ke aao mujhe.” She was also seen keeping her head on Salman's shoulder as they were posing for the camera. Not only that, she had also hugged and kissed him while bidding him goodbye. However, she had got trolled for the same.

Now, in an interview with ETimes, Shehnaaz Gill finally reacted to the trolls, who had slammed her for hugging and kissing actor, Salman Khan. The actress mentioned that celebrities have to deal with the pros and cons of being popular on social media and shared that it is up to us to decide whether we want to concentrate on positivity or negativity. Talking about the same, she said:
"Main sirf positives pe hi dhyaan dena chahti hoon. Jitna pyaar log mujhe dete hai, woh bahot hai baki saari negativity ko overshadow karne ke liye. So why should I look at the negative side of it? Thik hai, social media hai hi aisa medium, par hum toh uske acche traits pe concentrate kar sakte hai."
Earlier, during her appearance on Shilpa Shetty Kundra's chat show, Shape of You, which focuses on mental health and physical fitness, Shehnaaz Gill had opened up about the trolling that she faces on social media. The actress had remembered the late actor and her rumoured boyfriend, Sidharth Shukla and had said that he had always wanted her to be happy. The doting girlfriend had also mentioned that she will continue to be happy, no matter what people say. In her words:
"If I get the chance to laugh, then I will laugh, I will stay happy because happiness is very important in life. I also try to do that by myself. Today is the first time I am talking about this and it's only because you are asking me to. Otherwise, I never talk about these things no matter who says what. Sidharth ne mujhe kabhi nahi bola ki has mat. Sidharth mujhe hamesha haste hue dekhna chahta tha, aur mai hamesha hasungi, aur mai apna kaam jari rakhungi kyunki mujhe bahot aage jaana hai life mein."

Meanwhile, on June 19, 2022, Shehnaaz Gill had made her ramp debut at the Times Fashion Week and had turned showstopper for the designer, Samant Chauhan. For her runway debut, Shehnaaz had dressed as a bride for the first time, and she had owned it like a queen. The actress had donned a red-coloured heavily embroidered lehenga along with traditional jewellery and had made heads turn. She had left everyone awestruck with her ethereal beauty and confidence. Shehnaaz had posted a video of her ramp walk on her IG handle and had penned:
“Debut walk done right! Walked for the super talented designer @samantchauhan at the @timesfashionweek. Thank you people of Ahmedabad for making us extra special for me! Your hospitality and love is immeasurable.”
For those who don't know, Sidharth Shukla had breathed his last at the age of 40 after suffering a cardiac arrest, and his demise had left a massive void in Shehnaaz's life.
