A shocking and heartbreaking news report has revealed that actress and TV personality, Shefali Jariwala has passed away. Known for her appearance in Bigg Boss 13 and famous pop song, Kaanta Laga, Shefali has reportedly passed away at the age of 42. According to the early reports, Shefali, who was renowned for her bold and vibrant personality, was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai in the late hours of June 27, 2025. However, she passed away before reaching the hospital, which has left her fans and family members in shock.
Popular entertainment journalist, Vickey Lalwani took to his Instagram handle to announce the shocking news about Shefali Jariwala's demise on June 27, 2025, after 11 pm. He explained that the reason for her sudden demise is not confirmed. However, she was taken late at night to the Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Andheri. She had passed away before arriving at the hospital. Hospital staff confirmed that the actress was accompanied by her husband and three others to the hospital. A receptionist at the facility revealed:
"Shefali had expired before she was brought in. Her husband and a few others accompanied the body."
They further asked the media to contact the cardiologist, Dr Vijay Lulla, for more details, who didn't deny the news. However, he simply mentioned that he couldn't give any personal details about the patient. Another doctor from the hospital, Dr. Sushant, also confirmed the news and revealed that they were sending the body for post-mortem to Cooper Hospital in Mumbai. Meanwhile, a report from the Times Of India claimed that Shefali died due to a cardiac arrest. There is no confirmation from her family, but Shefali's sudden demise has sent shockwaves across the entertainment world. Later, the actress’s husband, Parag was spotted looking devastated after the incident.
Shefali Jariwala was born and raised in Mumbai. She had pursued her education in Computer Applications before making her way to showbiz. The actress first rose to fame in the early 2000s for her appearance in the hit song, Kaanta Laga, which made her a household name. Shefali participated in several TV reality shows over the years including Boogie Woogie, Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7. The actress's popularity rose to new heights after her stint in Bigg Boss 13, where she was admired for her strong-headed and confident personality. She was last seen in the supernatural TV show, Shaitani Rasmein in 2024.
In her personal life, Shefali Jariwala was vocal about her epilepsy. In an interview with ETimes TV, the actress revealed that she had her first epileptic seizure at age 15 caused by stress and anxiety. However, regular exercise and mental wellness practices helped her to stay seizure-free for years. Shefali was first married to musician, Harmeet Singh of the Meet Brothers in 2004. However, the duo parted in 2009, and six years later, she tied the knot with Jodhaa Akbar fame actor, Parag Tyagi.
