About their cancelled wedding reception, Sharad Malhotra had shared with the Bombay Times, “Yes most of them have come down. I am expecting around 350 people. Some cousins have flown in and many of them will attend the reception from all over the city since most of my relatives stay in Kolkata. A few friends from Mumbai too have come down. Even Ripci’s immediate family has flown down from Punjab. The Fani alert had spoiled all the preparations last time, but I hope this time round, everything turns out fine.” (Also Read: Sharad Malhotra Shares How Ripci Malhotra Reacted To His Female Fans' Responses To Their Wedding)
Sharad Malhotra and Ripci Bhatia will soon complete one month of their marital bliss. When are we getting to see the pictures from their honeymoon? He had revealed, “I plan to go to Paris as it’s been there on my wish list for a long time now. I need to figure out my work schedule and then plan my honeymoon, but tentatively I am planning to go around June or July. It’s difficult to take out time if you are part of a daily soap, but even if I get four or five days off, I will make the most of it. I have put a request to my producers, and they have been kind enough on agreeing to adjust my schedule."
Don’t you want to know what attracted Sharad Malhotra towards Delhi-based fashion designer, Ripci Bhatia? The 36-year-old actor had shared before his wedding, “I think I was fascinated by her love for travel. I love to travel but don't get the time. Ripci has immense wanderlust. She has a lovely sense of humour. Moreover, she is an independent working woman. I love women who are financially independent and empowered. She is a very grounded woman. I do not need someone who treats me like a star. I want someone who keeps me rooted. Ripci manages to do this very well.”
In yet another interview with the Bombay Times, Sharad Malhotra had opened his heart out about his soon-to-be missus, Ripci Bhatia, maintaining relationships and dealing with heartbreaks. Sharad had shared, “When I was introduced to Ripci, I had just come out of a relationship and was going through a difficult phase. Initially, we would just exchange occasional pleasantries on social media. It was only after Ganpati last year that we got talking on the phone, which was after my last relationship ended. What connected us probably was our fear of marriage. In fact, Ripci travelled the world for six years to avoid marriage, as the pressure on a girl at her age was mounting. I would have loved to do that, too, but I was constantly working. It’s only recently that our families got involved after we spoke over the phone for a few days. Both of us instantly realised that this is it and decided to take the plunge.” (Must Read: Tahira Kashyap Reveals She Has Given Up On Her Marriage With Ayushmann Khurrana Many Times)
