Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan and his first wife, Amrita Singh, made his acting debut with the film, Nadaaniyan. While he did his best, he was harshly judged, and there were numerous reviews that were not very nice. However, it appears that Ibrahim is determined to create his own space and image through his hard work. His upcoming film, Sarzameen, by Dharma Productions, released the film's trailer. And it comes with a promise of grappling to captivate hearts.
The trailer showed a son v/s father conflict, but this time it is wrapped in the cuffs of nationalism and patriotism. On July 4, 2025, Dharma Productions unveiled the trailer of the film, Sarzameen. The film is set against the backdrop of the Indian Army's fight against terrorism. The film stars Kajol, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan in the family drama.
The two-minute-long trailer started with a voiceover by Prithviraj, wherein he expressed how there are some wounds, which do not heal till the memory fades, "Jaante ho, kuch ghaav aise hote hain… woh tab tak nahi bharte jab tak unki yaad nahi mit jaati." Soon, we see Ibrahim Ali Khan covered in blood and bruises, walking in the freezing snow-scaped area. He was dressed up in an Indian Army uniform. Further, Prithviraj questioned a young Ibrahim Ali Khan's character, 'Harman', "Tumhe maara kyun nahi? Jawaab do Harman!"
Kajol, who is seen in the role of 'Harman's' mother, enters the scene to calm down the things between the father and son duo. But she also confronted Prithviraj's character and said: "Sharm aati hai na tumhe?" Before we can start to make opinion on the characters, Ibrahim's voice in the background said, "Main jaanta hoon woh mujhe kamzor samajhte hain… shayad pyaar bhi nahi karte." However, Kajol attempted to heal the pain in her son's heart as she was quoted as saying:
"Chahe ek bete ko jitna bhi pyaar maa se mile, banna woh hamesha apne baap jaisa chahta hai."
The trailer takes a dark turn as Ibrahim is seen fighting the attackers in the rain, but in a strange twist, he is seen turning against his father and the entire nation. While one would think that Ibrahim's character 'Harman' is the traitor, the plot twist comes when Prithviraj points his gun at Ibrahim and says, "Who are you? I know you are not Harman." Kajol, who looked worried, expressed her desire to have her son back. The movie appears to be filled with tension, drama, emotion, and unanswered questions. The film is going to be premiered on July 25, 2025, on Jio Hotstar.

Fans heaped praises on Kajol's appearance in the film, and wrote, "First Maa and now Sarzameen Kajol is on a roll Treat for the eyes." Another one wrote, "Sarzameen trailer hits hard with emotion and tension. Prithviraj commands every frame with quiet intensity. Kajol brings grace and grit. Ibrahim surprises with presence. This is not just a debut film, it is a storm of family, patriotism and betrayal waiting to explode. Looks powerful and personal."
However, there were some who poked fun at Ibrahim, and pointed, "Ek taraf Kajol aur Prithviraj ki acting building the trailer up, dusri taraf Ibrahim's acting cracking me up, I'm so conflicted." A second netizen commented, "Notice that there is not a single dialogue of Ibrahim in the trailer? They knew once he opens his mouth, the whole hype will be ruined."
