Amid Sandeep Vanga And Deepika Padukone Feud: Prabhas Starrer 'Spirit' Cast, Fees And Plot Revealed

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's most films are known for running into controversies, either with the censor board or with the audience after it's released. However, this time around, his film has stirred up quite a buzz even before the shooting has started. Vanga's upcoming movie, Spirit, is already proving to be entertaining to the audience with all the rumours and buzz it has created with the controversy surrounding its cast members. 

As a feud is going on between Sandeep Reddy Vanga and allegedly Deepika Padukone, who was supposed to be the main actress but was recently replaced, here is everything you need to know about the movie. Prabhas to star as the main lead in Sandeep Vanga's pan-world film Spirit 

After establishing himself as a pan-Indian superstar in Baahubali, Prabhas is all set to make a name for himself as a pan-world star. With high ambitions, Sandeep Reddy Vanga wants to make the film for a global audience. In the poster itself, eight languages can be seen written on the bottom, which suggests that these are the languages in which the film will be released. It includes Indian languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, along with foreign languages like English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

In an interview with Galatta Plus, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed that they are aiming for a budget of Rs. 300 crores for the film. Moreover, the director is also confident that given his and Prabhas' combination, on the first day after its release, Spirit will earn Rs. 150 crore at the box office. He also stated that producer, Bhushan Kumar sees this amount as viable for the budget. Though there is no information available on how much Prabhas has charged for Spirit, the actor will be taking home Rs. 100 crore for his upcoming movie, The Raja Saab, slated to be released in 2025. Hence, one can deduce that the pan-Indian superstar would not be charging anything less than a hefty amount for Spirit as well.  

Triptii Dimri to get Rs. 4 crore after replacing Deepika in Spirit

Deepika Padukone was originally approached to play the role of the lead actress in the film. However, she was recently replaced by Triptii Dimri for making 'extra demands'. As per reports, Deepika had asked for Rs. 20 crores as her fee, along with profit sharing and fixed shooting conditions. Later, it was reported that the actress backed out of the film due to a disagreement over certain content that she found uncomfortable. After this, Sandeep Reddy Vanga announced on various social media platforms that Triptii Dimri has been cast as the lead actress in Spirit. She has charged only Rs. 4 crore, far less than Deepika, as reported by Telugu 360. 

Prabbhas will play a cop, and Triptii will be a doctor in Spirit 

As per reports, Prabhas will play the role of an intense police officer in Spirit. Whereas, Triptii will be seen as a doctor. The main theme of the film is the love story developing between the two while they face tough situations. The film also reportedly contains bold scenes between the main leads. Triptii had done such scenes in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's previous film, Animal. However, this will be the first time Prabhas will be seen doing bold scenes. 

Spirit filmmakers are in talks with popular Korean actor, Ma Dong-seok to star in the film 

As per reports, the filmmaking team of Spirit has approached popular Korean actor, Ma Dong-seok of Train to Busan fame to join the cast of Spirit. As Sandeep Reddy Vanga is looking to take the film beyond India and screen it in other countries as well, it makes sense to cast foreign actors and actresses in important roles. Glitiz has reported that the Korean actor might play the role of the antagonist in the film. The whole of Asia is being targeted as the audience of Spirit. 

Sandeep Reddy Vanga slams an actor on X (Twitter), many speculate it's Deepika 

After Deepika Padukone was replaced by Triptii Dimri in Spirit, Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote out a tweet lambasting an anonymous actor who disclosed the story to one of his upcoming movies. The director also wrote, "Is this what your feminism stands for?", which points to the possibility of it being a female star. Though no names are taken in the tweet itself, many speculate that it might be Deepika Padukone, given the timing of the controversy and the way the accusations are worded by Sandeep Vanga. No statements have been given out from Deepika's team, however the director has also accused the anonymous of actor of 'dirty PR games'.
