'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' Actress, Samridhii Shukla Reveals A Painful And Sudden Lip Allergy

The television serial, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is currently one of the most popular shows on Indian television. The entire cast of the show is receiving a lot of love. Amid that love, one of the actresses of the show, Samridhii Shukla recently shocked her fans by sharing a personal and serious health update. She revealed that she has developed a sudden allergy on her lips. 

Samridhii Shukla has an allergy on her lips

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress, Samridhii Shukla, who plays the role of ‘Abhira’ in the show, recently shared a health update on her Instagram stories. She shared two videos showing the allergy. In one video, a part of her upper lip was swollen and it looked extremely painful. In another video, she shared a close up video of her allergy and captioned it as:

"Random allergies, this time on the lip."

Who is Samridhii Shukla?

Samridhii Shukla is a rising television actress and voice-over artist. She is known for her natural, strong and relatable screen presence. Samridhii started her career as a voice-over artist, who gave her voice to several animated shows. She has even given her voice to few Hindi-dubbed versions of international films. As of August 2025, she has more than 630K followers on her Instagram. 

She started her career as a television actress with the show, Saavi Ki Savaari. But, she became a household name with her role in the long-running TV show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She plays the role of 'Abhira Sharma'. Apart from television, Samridhii has also appeared in a Kannada film, Tajmahal 2.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) is one of Indian television’s most successful and longest-running serials. It first started in 2009, on Star Plus. The show is known for beautifully showing the themes of love, relationships, traditions and moral values. The show is produced by Rajan Shahi. 

Over the years, the show has seen several talented actors. Earlier, the show starred Hina Khan as 'Akshara', Karan Mehra as 'Naitik', Shivangi Joshi as 'Naira' and Mohsin Khan as 'Kartik'. Later, Pranali Rathod and Harshad Chopda played the lead pair as 'Akshara' and 'Abhimanyu'. Currently, the show features Samridhii Shukla as 'Abhira' and Shehzada Dhami as 'Armaan'.

Samridhii Shukla joined the popular show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2023, after the show had introduced a leap. Her role marked the beginning of the fourth generation. Her entry also brought a new and fresh wave that connected well with the younger audience.
