Salman Khan Questions Gaurav Khanna For His Low Engagement In 'Bigg Boss 19', 'Say Goodbye To..'

Bigg Boss 19, hosted by Salman Khan, has been grabbing a lot of attention because of its intense drama, fights, some strong bonds and a lot of controversies. In the initial days, Gaurav Khanna was labelled as the ‘power player’, but it looks like the situation has changed. Recently, a promo was released on X (Formerly Twitter), which shows Salman Khan questioning Gaurav Khanna's low engagement inside the house. Read on to know more about it. 

Salman Khan questions Gaurav Khanna’s game 

On September 20, 2025, a promo from Bigg Boss 19 Weekend Ka Vaar was released on X, in which Salman Khan returned after his absence last weekend. In the promo, the Sultan actor asked contestant, Farhana Bhatt to mimic all her co-contestant. When she was done, Salman asked Gaurav to review her performance. In response, the actor appreciated her and before he could complete, Salman Khan told him that he is only reviewing other contestants and not playing the game. In the promo, Salman said:

“Gaurav aap front foot pe khelne se ghabra rahe hai. Aap sirf 20 minutes dikhe hai pure hafte. Palak jhapke aur aap chale gaye. Every actor should be afraid of the word overrated.”

Apart from Salman Khan questioning Gaurav Khanna’s game, a source from the industry reviewed his game and told Filmibeat that Gaurav is a star and viewers are watching the show because of him. The source revealed that Gaurav will definitely reach Top 5, but his chances of winning depends on his game. The source was quoted as saying:

“He is a star in his own right, and viewers are watching the show because of him. He will definitely reach top 5 in the Bigg Boss 19 finale, however, his chances of winning the show will be diminished if he doesn’t pull his socks. He needs to perform better to win the show. The makers have dropped a hint to him, but it will depend on Gaurav how he takes things forward. If he doesn’t pick up pace, he can say goodbye to the trophy.”

Gaurav Khanna was born on December 11, 1981, and is a well-known television actor, who began his career in the mid 2000s. He first gained attention with roles in serials like Kumkum and CID, but he became a household name for playing 'Anuj Kapadia' in the show, Anupamaa. Apart from TV shows, recently Gaurav Khanna was seen on Celebrity MasterChef India, in which he emerged as the winner. Currently, he is seen in Bigg Boss 19. 

In his personal life, Gaurav Khanna tied the knot with actress, Akanksha Chamola, in 2016. The couple often shares glimpses of their bond on social media, highlighting their supportive relationship. In the initial weeks of Bigg Boss 19, Gaurav mentioned that even though, he wants kids, his wife doesn't want them right now.
