Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are among the power couples in the Hindi film industry. For the unversed, the duo dated each other for a long time before tying the knot in 2012. They are parents to two sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan. The duo are immensely loved by fans who adore their chemistry but recently a tragedy stuck them.
At the late night of January 15, 2024, a group of robbers invaded Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's Bandra home. The actor was allegedly asleep at that time. The incident occurred around 2:30 am. When Saif came in front of the goons, they stabbed him several times and repeatedly two of his injuries were serious. The robbers fled as soon as the other occupants of the house woke up. Senior IPS officer confirmed the incident and said:
“Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to the Lilavati hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. It is not clear yet, if he is stabbed or injured in the scuffle with the robber. We have been investigating the matter. The Mumbai crime branch is also conducting a parallel investigation into the incident.”
Saif Ali Khan was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries. The Mumbai crime branch is working on the case and even IPS officers are at it. The incident was quite a shock for all his fans who are concerned about his injuries. Dr Niraj, the COO of Lilavati hospital added:
“Saif was attacked by an unidentified person in his house. He was brought in at 3:30 am in Lilavati. He has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One of the injuries is closer to his spine. We are operating on him. He is being operated upon by Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will be told the extent of the damage only after the surgery is done."
Earlier, in a conversation with The Dirty Magazine, Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about her marriage with Saif Ali Khan. Talking about the same, the actress reflected on the importance of living with her partner before their wedding and mentioned that she wanted to live a beautiful life with Saif before embracing parenthood. Mentioning that, just like most people, she also got married just to have kids. In her words:
"The reason you get married now is that you want to have a child, right? I mean today otherwise, you can just live together. We (Saif Ali Khan and I) lived together for five years, so when we took the next step, it was because we wanted to have children."
Marriage is one of the most significant milestones in a person's life. It often brings changes in the life of a person and their personality. As Kareena will soon celebrate her 12th wedding anniversary, she agrees that marriage has changed her. The actress feels that marriage has changed her for the better, and she has become more responsible. In her words:
