Saif Ali Khan is recovering at Bandra's Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai after a violent attack that took place on him at his Bandra home on January 16, 2024. The actor was immediately rushed to the hospital in a rickshaw and had to undergo surgery because of the multiple stab wounds. The doctors have confirmed that he is out of danger. Amid this, a picture of Saif's health insurance claim has gone viral, and there has been a breach of privacy.

Saif Ali Khan claimed Rs. 35.95 lakh for treatment, health insurance policy picture goes viral

A report by the Mint claimed that Saif had been a policyholder of Niva Bupa Health Insurance. The leaked document showed that 54-year-old Saif, who was admitted in one of the suite rooms of Lilavati Hospital, requested to claim Rs. 35.95 lakh for his treatment, with Rs. 25 lakh being approved. The other sensitive details included his member ID, which reportedly was 2923938. The expected date of discharge mentioned was January 21, 2024. Niva Bupa Health Insurance officially told the publication:

"Mr. Khan is one of our policy holders. A cashless pre-authorisation request was sent to us upon his hospitalisation and we have given an approval of an initial amount to start the treatment. Once we receive the final bills post the complete treatment, it will be settled as per policy terms and conditions."

Kareena Kapoor Khan records her statement

Kareena had recently recorded her statement with the Bandra police related to the attack on her husband, Saif, on January 16, 2024. Mumbai Police recorded her statement at her Bandra residence of Satguru Sharan. As per a report by the Hindustan Times, more than 30 statements related to the case have been recorded. The Mumbai Police has already made 20 teams, with 10 teams from the Crime Branch department to investigate.

Meanwhile, CCTV clippings from the Bandra area where the attack took place have already been seized. Arrests have not yet been made related to the horrific incident that took place. Saif's staff members were also called by Bandra police for questioning related to the case but then were allowed to leave.

Auto driver who took Saif Ali Khan to the hospital revealed chilling details

Earlier, in an interview with ANI, Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto-rickshaw driver who took the actor to the hospital, shared that he had seen a woman trying to find a rickshaw at 2 Am on January 16, 2024. When the rickshaw driver came to the scene, he saw Saif drenched in blood, exiting his residential gate accompanied by others. Rana, the rickshaw driver said:

"I drive my vehicle at night. It was around 2-3 am when I saw a woman trying to hire an auto, but nobody stopped. I also heard calls for a rickshaw from inside the gate. I took a U-turn and stopped my vehicle near the gate. A man covered in blood came out, along with 2-4 others."

Rana also added that Saif was put in the car and he was taken to Lilavati Hospital. He dropped the actor and later came to know that he was Saif Ali Khan. The rickshaw driver saw the actor bleeding from his neck and back.
